Having worked in the business extensively they waste TONS of water and energy. Even if they use a reclaim system its still using a lot of fresh water in rinse....some upwards of 50 gallons or more per wash. The issue isnt the car wash in and of itself necessarily its the creation of the unlimited membership......car washes love them because it provides a more steady predictable balance sheet through the slow months. Much like a gym membership they also count on those that under utilize or forget they even have it to offset the obsessive daily users....therein lies the problem, many people come to wash daily to get their "money worth". I've hand to goodness seen people wash in rain, snow, sleet, tornado siren, 8" of snow on the car, seemingly clean cars just because it becomes habit like going to Starbucks and all these other things we have. Why no one has batted an eye over these things popping up like Starbucks on every corner I dont know. Who doesn't like a clean car but everyday is absolutely ridiculous. They can build these things like they're going out of style but I have to manage my water use at home for risk of going in to the dreaded "excessive user" tier and paying out my teeth. Take away the membership charge the $20+ per wash and I guaran-damn-tee ya folks will stop the daily "wash whether I need it or not" mentality. But when you build a 5 million dollar wash with REIT money the shareholders and investors want a return. Like all else, this is what happens when things become all involved with wall street, money matters most above all not resources, people or any other damn thing.

Boy their digging into this story. Why didn't they ask so many questions about the judge hitting my grandson? The neighbors inside their homes heard my grandson getting hit, how could the judge driving the car not hear? Where was he before the accident? At a bar maybe? Why did he call an attorney instead of the police? Probably wanted some advice? Did he ever apologize? No, he didn't. That's the kind of man he is.

Thats why car centric city isnt good ideal long term. Once people have cars its harder to deal stuff like this. Imagine if city had better zoning laws. People wouldnt buy cars it would be optional to them. Im not some environmental person but I realize how much of a money drain and space isn't unlimited. I even see neighbors fight over parking space. Its pretty worse when you can't even see the lawns anymore because each resident has like 4 to 6 cars.
