Overland Lab was conceived of for two main reasons: First, to document the equipment and build process of my 2011 Ford F-150 XLT Crew Cab truck into a multi-purpose adventure truck. Second, it exists to review equipment in order to help other find awesome, high value, equipment that will hold up well in real-world use and not break the bank.

The fact u payed more for a sc and want to or did go to a tiller… blows my mind the fact u hit a console casting also blows me fucking mind if anything u hit that super tall windshield and I’d cut it down or remove it all together…. But to remove the comfort of a console blows my mind all together

what hitch pin do you use for the factory 55 hitch receiver shackle mount? hitch pin never mentioned - Thanks
You say don't use a shackle because it can kill you. Then in the video you use a shackle to hook the red trailer receiver to the rope.
Did you ever hook up a speedometer, tachometer ??? If so can you tell me the process thanks

I have a 2021 Ford Ranger Lariat 4x4 with factory tow hooks on the front. I have a heavy duty tow strap with looped ends. What are the connection methods of connecting the tow strap to the tow hooks?
Where did you drill the hole to route the wire up through the truck bed into the decked ammo can?
Done such before...Just hint when you pull wires/cables/hoses our of floor or sides...Always tie a piece of string/wire/rope to opposite end and pull it through...leaving a foot or so for future use it needed...to pull whatever future needs are...(its always easier to pull through than shove through blindly)

OK I have a D- Ring on the back the truck I'm getting a recovery strap can i get a hook for the other side in case the other suv or truck doesn't have a pull point ?

2 shackle hitch receivers, 2 soft shackles, 20' recovery strap is my car to car recovery setup. I'm assuming the other vehicle does not have a shackle hitch.

Where did you purchase the tiller kit I’m looking at doing something similar.
Recipe for failure using a yank strap inserted in an open receiver hitch with ONLY the hitch pin securing it! That pin can shear off during a violent yank, not designed for that amount of stress. If you can afford $1500-1800 sliding truck drawers you can afford a proper hitch receiver shackle mount.

I have these on my 2017 Landcruiser look great and perform awesome from sand snow and mud. I wanted a hybrid tire looked at Nitto Ridge Grapplers, Mickey Thompson AT, and Maxxis Razor AT 811 but none had the three peak snow rated which helps when in the mountains.

I have the same boat with less stuff on it and a 40 HP merc and I get about 33 mph solo after upgrading to a SS prop. I got about 30 with the stock prop.
