I just finish through with a recip saw . Just pivot each way off the circular saw cut and it stays straight

You can never tell the height you need until you set the posts. You can cut them twice and they will still be too short. 😂

He's using the 2x4 for the straight edge NOT the "base plate" ( it's not called a table ya Goober🤦) he's just riding the edge of the base plate on the 2x4 straight edge. Looks a whole lot like YOU'RE the stupid one😅😂

Using a tape measure and cutting your post to length before you install them is extra cutting them after they're up is amateur

@@repobud1 super. That way if one post gets buried a little deeper than the others I can just glue a little piece to the top to make them all even. Your way is definitely better. 👌

I agree with him at a certain point you could make them the same height. mark a line at a reference point and they all measure the same from that point. Beneath that point doesn't matter. Your are ignorant to more efficient and effective ways of achieving quality craftsmanship

I remember when that DeWalt saw wouldn't cut all the way with a front and back cut had to finish with a handsaw.

Never had a DeWalt cut on a 90 degree angle. Switched to Mikita and solved the problem.

It’s a return cut. Makes an open end like that look much more finished. It’s actually a really easy cut. If you Google “how to cut a trim return” there are a bunch of good videos on it.
