I am SO thrilled you were able to finish this despite your software problems!! :D This is a PERFECT song for them and a PERFECT edit!! Hyde walking into the room with a shaved face for "this is me trying" LOL that fits so well! The dialogue exchange where Jackie is worried she can't do better than Kelso and Hyde is assuring her she will hits different now 😭 borders on tragic tbh. This video really illustrates all the ways JH stepped up for each other over the years (even before they officially got together) and how they really inspired each other to become their best selves. I keep saying it, but I cannot stress enough what a shame it is that the writers threw all this character growth away and, for what? Some lame jokes? Because Mila/Ashton are together IRL so it's totally funny and meta to have the characters back together too? I just can't wrap my head around the awful decision. No one wants Danny back but we all still love Hyde and it would not have been hard to just MENTION him and acknowledge the character still exists. But then they also completely write out Brooke, Betsey and even Laurie so...yeahh I personally have no desire to watch That 90's Show, I'll stick to the original LOL. But yes amazing job on this one, it is truly what we Zennies, especially us oldschool ones that had have our old wounds reopened with this nonsense 😭This video helps the healing process though🥰
Eep thank you SO much hun!! You're so right in everything you said about the travesty of what these show runners have done. I actually had the part of the video you mentioned, where Hyde tells her she can do better than Kelso, done AGES ago, and I thought the same thing as you when I heard what crap they pulled on T9S. I was like "Wow that's pointed now" haha I will never understand the decision making here either. Acting like Hyde doesn't even exist is such an insult. Because you're right, the ACTOR is a piece of shit, but the CHARACTER is beloved. The CHARACTER was by far the most complex character they had. It wouldn't have taken much effort to do this right. You could just MENTION him. And the JK thing...I mean through the entire run of the show it's repeatedly made clear how dysfunctional those two were and how they were NOT right for each other. Some people would say "I could see them being together in the 90s because they grew up and work as a couple now" as if it magically works like that. But the thing is, we actually WATCHED them grow up when they got AWAY from each other and were paired with OTHER people (who apparently don't even exist now). And T9S couldn't even do that right, because JK continued to be a trainwreck lol I will never get why the couple being married irl should have ANY impact on the fictional characters. Just like an actor being a monster irl and rightfully not being cast again doesn't mean we should ignore the character's entire IMPORTANT role on the show. I'm so glad I can share this frustration with you. No one else in my life gets it. And I guess it's fitting since JH are why you and I met/became buddies! /hugs/ thank you again for your support!!! AHHHHHHH I HAVE BEEN STARVING FOR A NEW EDIT OF THEM SINCE WATCHING T9S 😭 this is PERFECT!! and i have to agree with everything! the reboot did hyde so dirty! danny rightfully not being a part of the reboot should not effect a beloved character to the point of not existing any longer...and don't even get me started of kelso and jackie! even the embarrassing mess that season 8 was could at least acknowledge that kelso was wrong for her! having them back together ruined both their character development UGH at this point i would have preferred fez... (jokes on me that jay ended up being my fav character hahahaha)

@@farkasmelinda3618 It actually doesn't make sense to put them together narratively. Who people are in real life is not the same as their fictional characters. Jackie and Kelso grew a lot as people as soon as they got AWAY from each other. It was clear they were better off apart, and T9S even further proved that, given that they were still dysfunctional. Lol

I just never thought jackie and hyde were a very good fit. Hyde in general just isn’t the best relationship material. He never really grows out of that silly non conformist bs so he spends too much time and energy trying not to care about things that are important to everyone else. Jackie at least grows, rather tremendously, as a person throughout the show. Even Kelso evolved more than Hyde.
I'm not sure why you're commenting that on a Jackie/Hyde video. I actually completely disagree. We see a lot of growth from Hyde as well, particularly in season 5. You have to realize that Hyde is by far the most jaded and emotionally damaged character on the show. Kitty explains it when she says "You don't know how to comfort someone because you've never been comforted". Yet time and again we see Hyde comfort Jackie. He's not always able to articulate it, but he usually shows it. Until the writers decided to ruin that for either cheap jokes or drama that chucked all that growth. I agree that Kelso grew...largely because of Brooke/Betsy and definitely not with any help from Jackie. I would also point out that as Jackie inspires a lot of growth in Hyde, he does with her as well. They help each other see the world in a different way. That's the great balance of this pairing.

wow you are so good at making videos when jackie was listing reasons why hyde never did anything a boyfriend should do but showed that he did man it just shows how the writers just forgot 7 seasons of development, absolutely unreal lmfao, for me, it ended with Eric asking if Hyde didn't decide if he was going to marry Jackie and he said "No, I've decided." and chased after her to chicago to tell her he wanted to marry her

It's annoying because they literally could have made the last season about their wedding, like to wrap the show up, since Topher left anyways, it'd be about the last kid leaving the Forman household, they could have a special for the finale with the cerimony (and would make sense for Eric and Kelso to return for that), it still wouldn't be a great season without 2 of the main characters but at least it wouldn't be incredibly upsetting and disapointing like the real thing was
