Hey funny i saw you going out and then as I was coming in by the jetty haha. A friend decided to come along with me today so we trolled LJ, no luck. Then went out further and got limits on reds. I saw a huge mola too. When are you going to the north 9 again? Id like to cruise out there with you guys.

Hi Michael, I use 6” grubs and large hookup soft lures. I like to stay heavy 2-3oz, it gets the lure down fast for a reaction bite. 80-150 gram Slow pitch, sumo, knife and pencil jigs are my preferred metal ones. Hope this helps, if you see us say hi

There is a shore "boat launch" area in La Jolla, it is great for kayaks. I prefer to use the boat ramp at Ski beach in Mission Bay.
