Tony nominee and Emmy winner Liz Callaway made her Broadway debut in Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along. She received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in Baby, starred in the original cast of Miss Saigon, and for five years, won acclaim as Grizabella in Cats.
Liz has provided the singing voice for numerous animated movies, including Anya in the Oscar-nominated Anastasia, Odette in The Swan Princess, Kiara in Lion King 2: Simba's Pride and Jasmine in the two Aladdin sequels.
She performs regularly with her sister Ann Hampton Callaway, as well as composer Stephen Schwartz, and has had the pleasure of singing with Jimmy Webb, Paul Williams and the legendary Johnny Mathis. Her extensive concert career has taken her to London, Paris, Sydney, Beijing, and just about every major city in the US. Liz has 7 solo albums, including her newest CD Comfort and Joy - An Acoustic Christmas.

There's just something about the music from the 90s movies that still to this day brings me joy
So nice to hear this again, Liz. Maria and I were privileged to see the revival of Merrily We Roll Along earlier this year. I also saw The Best Worst Thing That Ever Could Have Happened several years ago with a live post-film video chat with Lonny Price. Knowing that you were a part of it from the very beginning makes it that more meaningful to hear you sing it now. And I'm sure it feels different, with new meaning for you now, just as "The Story Goes On" must feel all these years later. Thank you for sharing this with us!

I've watched several videos on KZread of Charlie Rosen's big band stands from 54 Below. Many were marred by stage lighting that was glaring on screen, boisterous customers, muddled singing voices, late comers and waitresses bobbing across the screen and bald heads at the front tables. They got it perfect with Rosen's overture to Merrily We Roll Along and here with Callaway's glorious Our Time. Thanks

I can’t sing this without crying. The lyric “light my life with sunshine” hits so deep that I cry through the rest of it. I fell in love with this song listening to it on The Story Goes On and On. She just brings it to life.
