    Hi Robert - watched this video on June 14th of 24 after learning about your KZread channel from your brother Chris! He is currently working with us to install Belhancourt, Vintage Tea Oak flooring in our new home in Queen Creek, AZ. We met you in the showroom last week, while working with your brother on selecting quartz and backsplash options for our kitchen remodel. Loved your video and I’m so happy to learn you agree with our flooring choice as one of your favorites!! 🎉I’ve heard you’ve actually been out to our house to see the floor being professionally installed by Justin and Chad. Would love to learn more about best ways to take care of my new waterproof laminate flooring and what not to do to void the warranty? Thought your video was very informative and helpful and made me feel even better about the choice of flooring we selected. Thanks!

    it's LVP not LVT

  • @RemodelWithRobert
    @RemodelWithRobert3 күн бұрын

    LVT (luxury vinyl tile) is the original term for the broader category. LVP (luxury vinyl plank) was adopted to differentiate the expanded offerings in wood-look vinyl tiles. Both terms are commonly used today somewhat interchangeably. Vinyl planks, as referenced in my thumbnail, are more specific to longer format products like the wood looks or even some long stone looks. I hope that clarifies. Thanks for watching!

    Hi Robert, I’m interested to buy Cambria 3cm 49” X 22”. - Are you able to tell the load rating if the slab when supported by strong frame or posts installed? - Please tell me the deflection rating of 3cm. 49” X 22” slab supported by opposing beam supports. .. Thank you… looking forward to strength and deflection rating.

    Every flooring company in this town suggests to LVP over laminate, I visited four of them and none of them suggested me to use laminate 🤷‍♀️

    As far as installation cost, I have found that hard laminate flooring such as Pergo Wet Protect wears out saw blades about 3 times as faster compared to vinyl flooring. This can add an extra $200 in materials for a project depending on its size. Diablo makes blades specifically for laminate and vinyl flooring and still, I have found the laminate blade starts "smoking" in 1/3 the time.

    Hi Robert, I have received quotes from a couple of places on the same Masland carpet. One of which is a Floors to Go Private Label and as such is a bit less expensive. Is this a path you would recommend or is there potential for issues arising from going with the private label version?

    Thanks... saved me a plumber too. Maybe 1 hour as I had to find the right breaker and tools. haha. Took a few tries to line it up and i had elbows for the drain but they were adjustable to line up to new unit. Replaced a 1988 unit so didn't have to use the new top flange that saved time (re-use). Wow the new unit is quiet :)

    I just purchased it, and it's great! I do have a question about this model: Does the lid open and close automatically?

  • @RemodelWithRobert
    @RemodelWithRobert17 күн бұрын

    Isn't it amazing?! I love mine. It does not close automatically but does offer a soft close function, so it isn't slamming down. I did not see other similar models that offered all of the features plus an automatic close, so this was the one that met the most features I was looking for.

  • @dorosco74

    When the floor around the toilet flange is rotten, I am sorry but the right thing to do is bust that tile and replace the subflooring then retile also that old flange needs to be cut off and replaced with a twistNset flange, screw that to the flooring you just replaced, flush with the floor not below it then install the toilet with a wax ring.

  • @RemodelWithRobert
    @RemodelWithRobert18 күн бұрын

    This is a concrete slab. The oatey ring did bring it up flush with the tile and it has since been secure.

    We have laminate and I’ll never have it again. Any type of mildly sharp edge takes the top layer off, leaving the light underneath exposed. It was an expensive floor and has not held up well at all.

    i replaced my shower head with kacklo rain shower 6 inch and had them remove the restrictor, the shower i have is a new construction. the one i had in there was new and the pressure was amazing, so so very strong but i wanted a rain shower, upon putting the rain shower, there is hardly any pressure, the rain shower droops at very short distance. not sure what else i can do, i can put back the original shower head and keep using that with no issues.
