    But I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. It was amazing. We eventually found an old Peavy mixer in the back that worked better than that Behringer

    Are you still using the studiolive 24 is it holding up well?

  • @shortyswitch
    @shortyswitch5 жыл бұрын

    I've been through a few desks since the original studio live. I liked it though and I think it would hold up just fine. The new presonus stuff looks great. I'm currently using an x32 rack. I moved to the x32 because at the time I didn't have to have a laptop connected to it and could just use an iPad. Presonus was just a little late to the game for me but I really like their products.

  • @drummerboy100jh
    @drummerboy100jh5 жыл бұрын

    @@shortyswitch thats great to here and yes their new ecosystem of mixer products are very interesting. Does the x32 sound much better or not that noticeable?

  • @shortyswitch
    @shortyswitch5 жыл бұрын

    @@drummerboy100jh I think they both sound good. Almost every digital mixer in that range sounds good. If I had to buy again I would consider Presonus.

    Hi, I have a StudioLive AI16... is there a way to use iphone as in ear monitors?

  • @aerohunter7
    @aerohunter75 жыл бұрын

    As far as I know there is no way to use an iPhone as your IEM ... the studio live mixers allow the q mix app to adjust the mix of your aux channels ... which we use for our IEM sends. We take the aux’s to a headphone amp and then 1/4 to 1/8” cables out to each musician where they can plug in their personal IEM or earbuds. Whole setup was like $220 with 10 IEM sends available.

  • @saxman1815

    Jeff Wolfe can I ask what brand/model headphone amps you used for this?

  • @aerohunter7

    I'll check tomorrow and let you know ... if memory serves it's a Behringer 8000 or something close to that.@@saxman1815

  • @aerohunter7
    @aerohunter75 жыл бұрын

    Yep ... Behringer HA8000. Gives us 8 monitor mixes. Works great as we use 2 of our 10 available Aux outs to feed the livestream L/R audio and the remaining 8 can feed the HA8000. We currently only use 3 ... small team, you know. :-)

    You did good. I was lucky enough to get a coveted Scully 284 one inch 8. They sound great but are very primitive. No robotics no frills. MCI was used for BeeGees big album it is on the jacket cover. I had my Scully in the original cabinet, but broke it moving it. So now its a console/rack mount.

    How much does it weigh? Seems like it'd be fairly heavy. Also, have u tried to set your powerpoint to automatically scroll or is that just too dodgy for a live gig?

  • @shortyswitch
    @shortyswitch8 жыл бұрын

    +brywool I actually never used it on a gig. It say it weighs about 25lbs, way less than a speaker wedge. I tried the auto scroll but I was also using it for rehearsal and we would stop in places and pick up in others so it was easier to have it all typed out. The box just sits in my basement.....
