The only thing I have to say are that I think this topic is necessary and I wish that this video were longer and more in depth. This needs to be everywhere, please oike, comment, subscribe to OSU and Professor Millison, and share this video.

That is very benevolent. Instead of maintaining an antiquated and unproductive elitist status symbol like the lawn, we should fill our lives with the abundance, security and harmony (with each other and the rest of nature) of aesthetic, productive and ecologically sound spaces with food and medicine available for the community and public. World peace indeed.

Till 1980s Indias farms were purely organic. Using fallen leaves, shrubs, animal droppings as manure. No tree feelings instead trees were planted. After 1980s, Desi cows gave way to western huge cows hfs jersey, chemical fertilizers , felling of trees, no cate fircanimals or their manure... now youth study subject called permaculture in universities obtain certificates.. a big laugh. So old wine in polished new bottles...

This is well explained and thank you so much!. But am having a little bit of a confusion about this egg being a male or a female bee. According to their reproduction if the egg is unfertilized and haploid which means it has only a set of chromosomes of the queen; a female, how can a male bee be produced from that egg? Please correct me if I’m asking something with incorrect knowledge about them and if someone know the answer to this please explain it❤

This method is tried and true effective. Yet it focuses on the narrow valleys. We have been working on top soil building strategies that store water over the entire watershed.

We use a tool called a LightBoard. It's sort of like a big whiteboard, but with a well-lit piece of glass in the middle, used in a professional studio. Users write the content facing themselves, and we flip it in post-production!

The part I love (because it fires up the imagination and creative thinking) about #8 (Integrate rather than segregate) is that you have at least 3 elements performing/supporting each function (so if 1 fails, or even 2 fail, there's still 1 element performing that function), and at least 3 functions are performed by each element, so redundancy is built in to a design. Simple examples: Function: providing shade Elements providing shade: grape vines on a pergola, shade trees, a roof (thanks, Geoff Lawton!) Element: a pergola Functions performed by a pergola: provides shade, acts as a trellis for grape vines, gives children a play structure, serves as an outdoor seating area (that's 4 functions!)

Deeper the water the more hydrostatic pressure presses the water into the ground. I notice the lawn drains faster now that there is a three foot pit on the corner. It squeezes the water into the ground. Even at that depth a pin hole spays out like a power washer.
