  There’s something powerful about drawing an artwork out of the darkness. Willing power into your tools to do things they’re not necessarily made to do. Pushing your paper to its limits, a dance of for-the-love-of-god-please-don’t-disintegrate-on-me-now 😅 It’s not the most efficient way to make marker art, you probably wouldn’t even consider if it was made any differently if you hadn’t seen the process, but I think there’s something powerful about it and it somehow shows.

  Nah usually maybe 6 months? It depends on how long they keep your artwork for, this year they had them for a while in an exhibition in Tokyo. I was moving house right as I received it so I left it in the box until I’d moved and then I didn’t have a studio to unbox it in for ages after that as well. It’s was torture 😅😅

  I only have a red block from my colour & tone guide but holding it up to one eye, I still got the 3D effect from your painting… so cool! ***edit: no wait, I had a blue plastic see-thru lid on my glue stick… that worked too 😂😂😂 Wow, congratulations…. Thousands of dollars of markers there (especially in my NZ$) You were not obnoxious at all, you are allowed to be excited, and you came off grateful and humble but also proud… a good combination 🤗 I love unboxings too

  I think…technically to qualify you have to have used at least one Copic product (they could be a Multiliner or their opaque white even, doesn’t have to be one of their markers.) When you post your entry you have to select which product(s) you used/what colours numbers. Might be worth grabbing something if you can.

  How do you like ohuhu marker compared to copic? I’ve used both and loved both, but ohuhu are so much cheaper!

  I didnt quite have the right colours to use for my normal blends so that was a bit more work for me, but over all the ink is really nice and felt almost buttery somehow. The colour numbering system is beyond frustrating though, and Ohuhu works out so expensive to replace in Australia. You can only buy sets here, they won’t send us single markers or refill ink, so if you run out of a colour the only way to get it again is so buy the ENTIRE SET all over again.
