Do you prefer Leeds or Manchester? Are the developments in Manchester more impressive / more ambitious / better quality, do you think?
@reecyvidz17 күн бұрын
@barbaracartlandmuseum8096 I like both, Leeds definitely has more variety in terms of architecture and cladding styles. Although, Manchester is better for height and being more dominant. I do prefer Manchester for walking round, it's more pleasant as it isn't full of students and shoppers like Leeds. That's my opinion though. ☺️
@barbaracartlandmuseum809617 күн бұрын
@@reecyvidz Yes, the buildings in Manchester definitely have more height. It's a shame that some of the buildings in Leeds aren't higher...City Square House, for example. I work in Leeds, so know it well, not so much Manchester. I think Leeds has a nicer city centre - smaller and more contained - but Manchester definitely has more of a 'city' feel. Thanks for making the vids, it's good to look back at them and see how the developments have come along...it's easy to forget how much has changed.

Hello again, this is nothing to do with the subject of this video, autism, but is related to your passion for skyscrapers. You can get a great view of the Leeds City skyline from Hall Lane in Farnley, co-ordinates in google maps 53.7883948,-1.6295694 . In the map you have to zoom in a lot to see the skyline, but on street it is much more obvious. The 42 bus will take you to its terminus (20 minute ride out from Leeds) and then it's a 5/8 minute walk. Also the hourly 255 bus from Halifax to Leeds goes by Walsh Lane in Farnley 53.7721706,-1.6280926 , you can get a good view along the A58 into Leeds too.

@@reecyvidz There are also some tall-ish buildings on the edge of the city centre where there is public access and you can look out across the city. I have visited the top floor of the Worsley Building (11th) (University of Leeds and the NHS) and you can see from there across East over to the Merion Centre direction and from the two southern stairwells you can see South in one stairwell towards the Town Hall, and in the other stairwell towards Wellington Street and Whitehall Road. As I say, the building is open to the public, high on a hill, students are always in and out of it and the bottom three floors are the dental hospital in Leeds. I'd be interested to hear if others have good vantage spots for looking over the city.

We all have our likes, dislikes, phobias and pecadillios it's all very normal. Autism is a very broad spectrum and I believe that we all lie somewhere on it. You come across as a right nice guy. I especially like your building vids in Manchester and Leeds and love the enthusiasm you have for what you do. Keep up the great work.

Thats such a nice warming comment, you won't believe this, but when I was little they were gonna stick a badge on me saying "I have Autism" I'm glad they didn't but I've always wanted to feel neuro - typical and no different to any other human, yes very true! We do all have traits, I totally agree! I hope I seem nice, I do try my best to be a decent person I am working on myself all the time, I do have my faults, but don't we all! I love Leeds and Manchester, so blessed to live literally smack bang in the middle of them both! So I could say I'm half Mancunian and have Leeds Lad... 😂 Thank you for your kind words, just trying to get back into it again, but its baby steps! 👌💕
