The Seatosummit Aeros Pillow has an adjustable valve, the little blue button when you lift the 1st tab, that allows you to adjust the hardness/softness of the pillow. Yes, you can wash it, obviously not putting it in the washing machine, but when deflated and with the valves closed, it can be hand wash. I had mine for quite a few years now and still going strong.
Very high priced product olight 👎
Try buying when they have a sale, sometimes it’s 40-50% off. Especially right now for 4th of July
@@roamingthetrails Great 👍 thank you, will check sure

I have the 34L and experienced the same side-pocket zipper issue but found a solution. When you have the pack on and snug around you, go ahead and cinch up the lower strap connected to each pocket. This will keep the pockets taut, making it easier to use the zipper. Otherwise, a loose strap can cause the pocket to fold over on itself when tugging on the zipper. Look at it this way -“ if won’t zip then, then fits not legit” 😂 Hope this works for you & others.
Thanks this is some good advice, I still regret to this day not purchasing the 34L.
This was very helpful, thanks
I purchased a pair of these about 6 months ago and have since hiked about 200 to 300 miles in them. Comfortable, well built, stable platform, all great. The one thing that is needed is additional scuff protection over the toe. The trails I hike are often rocky, littered with large, sharp rocks and boulders that tend to scuff the toes. I had a cobbler laminate a piece of rubber on the toe so that I don't prematurely wear a hole through the toe. Something that Danner should do at the factory.
Sold!
Hope they work out for you!
It's been one year. Waiting for you to drop that one-year review you promised :)
My one year has turned into two years 😬 I’m on it!
@@roamingthetrails Oh wow, thank you for replying. I must tell you, it is because of you & this video specifically that I have the Danner 600 in my Amazon cart. Now doing further research into whether to just go ahead with the purchase, or go for that latest Leaf version (although I can't find much info about how Leaf is different)
Thanks for your input
was the road going up snowy too?
Yes chains were required
Thx for your honesty. So what boot would you consider more comfortable than this ones ?
I’ve been using my Danner Mt 600 for the past two years and I am loving them! Longest hike I did with them was 12 hours long
Thanks for the tips. P.s what was the weight before you unpack it ?? 😁
Great video. Thanks for sharing
Thank you
What date was this video produced on?
January 2023
Thank you
You can find them for 119 now
Nice!
I love these boots too. If you put some mink oil on them they will darken back up and look beautiful again
Thanks for the tip, I will try this 👍🏼
How many hours did it take you to do this hike?
about 7.5 hrs since we hike slower in snow and we took a lots of breaks to take pictures
Great comparison!
Thank you 🤙🏼
this video has been so helpful, havent found info about hikes and how or if you can hike from one place to another, everyone visiting for the first time should see this
Glad you found this video helpful! If you are on Instagram feel free to send us a DM if you have specific questions, we’d love to help you plan your trip 😊
Do you recommend the full grain leather or Suede? I want a good boot for rucking.
Thanks for the review 🙏
You can’t go wrong with either option. Leather will likely be the most durable in the long run but I also like that suede is a little more comfortable and breathable, it’s also still very durable! I’ve had my sieve boots for two years and put them through a lot of terrain and they’re holding up great
I’m in sequoia right now and it’s snowing, it’s beautiful
Looks like you got to experience a surprise spring storm!
Just put it inside a T-shirt or a buff, problem sorted. Plus then you don't need to wash it as often
Thanks for this advice👍🏼😊
I’ve been contemplating to buy a pair. They look fantastic.
I’ve put these through the wringer these past two years and they’re still looking almost new 👍🏽
@@roamingthetrails that’s awesome I went ahead and ordered the 600 evos yesterday they should get here before the end of the week I’m excited. I’m gonna be using them for work as an Amazon delivery driver. I was using a pair of lowa renegade gtx that are awesome and super stable. But I wanted something with a little more bounce and the resoling sold me on them. Hopefully they fit. I sized down half a size from my sneaker size which is what the customer service rep told me to do.
Nice review. I'm on my 3rd pair. The first pair leaked water and Vivo replaced it for free outside their warranty period which was great. Retired the 2nd pair after 6 years of mostly uneven forest hiking off trail. These shoes were actually narrower than the first pair despite same size which was annoying as my feet are wide for my height which is why I bought them (along with zero drop benefits). Bought 3rd pair and despite only a few years old have used them on average at least twice a week, so heavy use. Still narrow for my foot and almost impossible to take off after hiking with no socks! Otherwise I love these boots, almost impossible to twist your ankle when laced up normally, excellent dry grip, and ankle support. You do feel rocks so you have to tread carefully as is the barefoot design philosophy. My only gripes are the laces are difficult to lock in the first hoop and the rubber tends to come apart off the leather. The hoop issue is just irritating for me but the rubber I've found has come away after only a few months on all my boots. It's only come off a few mm but in all the high stress areas. I will need to get it re glued soon.
😎НЕРЕАЛЬНО КРАСИВО👍
😎 ЧУДЕСНЫЙ ВОДОПАД -- ЗРЕЛИЩЕ ЗАВОРАЖИВАЕТ 🤏🕶 😃👍
Can I ask what sleeping pad you were using with these sleeping bags? I.e., what the R rating was? That can affect how warm you feel in a bag.
We used the REI Air Rail self insulating pad with an R rating of 3.3, so kinda midrange insulation
Did you ever try the water bottle pockets? Which bottle(s) did you find fit best and reachable?
I carry my Nalgene on one side and my HydroFlask 32oz Trail series also fits well, it’s a little hard to pull one out with your pack on your back but it’s doable, I usually just have my wife get it for me 😬
Girl u better take me next time 🤨
Letsss go

You got it 👍🏽
Going next week I’ve been hearing there’s still winter storms happening and the glacier point, tioga and mariposa rd are closed. Is there still a lot we can see even with those 3 road closures?? Hoping the trip isn’t ruined.
Yes the weather has been unpredictable lately! It snowed yesterday, sunny today, and rain is expected tomorrow. Those roads will likely not be open next week. You can still hike up to Mariposa Grove we actually uploaded a vlog recently on how we did it. And there’s still plenty to see and do down on the valley floor: Lower or upper Yosemite falls, bridal veil falls, mirror loop trail, vernal falls, Nevada falls, there’s also a few museums and visitor centers.
That hike looks awesome!
It’s a short hike with amazing views!
The more layers you wear inside the bag the colder you will be at night. Less in more this sense. Try sleeping in just shorts and a t shift even when it's cold and you'll be amazed how much warmer you are than with full layers
Interesting 🤔 I’ll be trying that out on our next camping trip since we’re expecting the weather to be a bit chilly. Thanks for the tip!
@@roamingthetrails No problem! I learned the hard way too unfortunately 🥶 let me know how it goes for y’all 🤙🏼
misery is often a catalyst for wisdom isn’t it!? 😆 yes I’ll definitely let you know how it goes
Thank you for a great demo! The directions show installation with a tire off a car! I appreciate your keeping the snags in the video... one I kept doing the same!
I’m glad the video was helpful😊
What model of Tacoma do you have?
It’s a 2021 Off Road 😊🤗, amazing truck. It’s taken us on many adventures
Now that they offer a wide in their new 600 leaf I’ll definitely buy a pair. Great review.
Yes they came out with the Leaf version almost a year after I got mine 😩 hopefully the Leaf is just as durable as the original version.
@@roamingthetrailsMe too! They are full grain instead of suede, which I like, I just hope the width is good across the forefoot and toes. I’ll save my pennies.
@@MsBess100 if you end up getting them let me know how they end up fitting , please and thanks!
@@roamingthetrailsHi what is different about the Leaf version?
The Leaf are meant to be more sustainable in the long run because they are resold/repaired if the soles wear out. They have very similar features including Goretex waterproof and vibram traction
Thanks for the advice! But sadly we didn’t practice before being stuck in the snow. lol but now we know how to put them on. Thx 😂
Glad you guys made it out safe though, I think it has to happen at least once to everyone and the next time you’ll know to be better prepared. Safe travels 😊🤙🏼
Who lets you return used boots?
This company does. They clean/repair them and sell them at a discount
What month was this February?🔥
First week of February 2024
I can't believe this, It's the most beautiful place there is!. Yeah, It's a really pretty place. 😊🏞️🌲
It really is😊
Thanks for this video. So YARTS runs year-round, and Highway 140 is open? Thanks.
yes Yarts runs year round as long as the weather allows it. Highway 140 usually is better to drive through in the winter as there's less snow than on highway 41, safe travels 😄
On sale at scheels in sparks right now for 150. They only have black bags left but it’s a good deal.
These are honestly the main things that I disliked about this bag. That’s a good deal on this bag, beats the price that I paid for it 🤦🏻♂️
The side pockets kind of suck. The bottle holders are high too. I can’t reach while walking.
merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo, j'habite en Belgique, et c'est un de mes rêves :)
Thank you 😊
Being from central California ourselves, we love hiking Yosemite. One thing we haven’t experienced though is firefall. One day. Nice video!
Hopefully you get to see it in person someday, it’s definitely worth it. Last year we weren’t able to get a reservation and this year we got lucky that our friends were able to secure one. Thanks, we’ll catch you on the trails🤙🏼
Thanks man!
Glad it was helpful 👍🏼
Thank you for sharing!! Looks amazing
Yes it was, hopefully you get to experience this in person someday if you’ve never been 😊
Great review! Thank you
Thank you 😊
Is this vernal falls?
Yes this is Vernal Falls 😊
