We added this park to the end of our trip. So glad we did. It’s a neat little park!
Love them old neighborhoods where you Airbnb was. Chicago's layout with green fronts and soaring trees free from power-line poles adds to aesthetics to place the poles in back alleys. Great downtown and clean city vs some in the east. A riverwalk walk and river/lake boat tour is awesome to do. If on the lake it is as a ocean. Nice video.... Deep Dish Pizza is mostly a tourist thing. Neighborhood pizza of the city is thin-crispy pizza tavern-style cut into squares from a round pie and a very thin but crispy crust that is superior as Deep Dish is not the regular pizza of the locals.
Chicago was such a surprise! What a beautiful city. We will definitely try the real Chicago pizza next time. Thanks for watching!

Yeah. 2 is always 1 and 3 is 2. Tent size and sleeping bag warmth is false advertising! 🤪
It is a fun place for backpacking. Except you have to carry all your water as there are no sources up there. I went for a weekend with REI. Then stayed an extra day. Sadly pets aren’t allowed at the primitive campsites so that makes it a no go for y’all. I think the campsites up front are pretty though and I might hiked that trail back there Great view of the stars. ❤

Hill Country State Natural Area is a nice place, and it's not too far away from me

The puppy is adorable. Bummer about the rain.
This was shot a few months ago. He doesn’t look like a puppy anymore, which makes us a little sad. He still plays like a pup though. We should get together for a hike with the dogs some time. Could be some fun content with both of them working as camera dogs lol. We have been rained on so many times camping, it hardly phases us anymore…. Unless it freezing rain. That can be absolutely miserable!

I love that park. Our family tent camped here once and the temps dropped into the 20's. We were not prepared.
