Thanks for the excellent video. Pl clarify following . where is the Control - Steering 2, Progress - Undue hesitation 1, Reverse park (road) - Control 1
When I took my test over 40 years ago, the format was different and I didn't need to reverse into a parking space. But after passing my test first time, I reverse park into parking bays most of the time unless for some reason. I don't have reverse sensors or camera on my large estate car, but set my mirrors down to see the lines. Belvedere test centre is local to me. Hopefully the pupil has learnt how to reverse park. It is important for many reasons.
Recently passed my test using a manual car in Mitcham area and done this roundabout 🙌🏾 so glad it’s over with 🙏🏽
I passed today with 2 minors. 2nd attempt. Sidcup test route, your video was so helpful. Thanks a million.
@@olubukolaadesina9619 congratulation 🎉🎖️. Well done and thank you for the lovely comment. Stay safe out there 🚗beep-beep
Thanks for the vid, this isn't far from where I live and has a confusing layout
I appreciate the video, I've just marked all 20 mph, hard roads and roundabouts on Google Maps for myself to practice. Many thanks
ha funny i got told off for doing that in a test
🤭did you? Were you staring at the corner the whole time instead of focusing on the road ahead? - Did you pass?
Had the third exit on my test, passed first time x
That's amazing Dahlia! Congratulations and welcome to pink side. 🌟
Just passed my driving test today at Mitcham
Congratulations! Well done. 🎖️👏🏾 Stay safe out there.
Thank you. Its really helpful.
Isn't the speed limit of the road on 22:59 supposed to be 30? Howcome your video says 20?
Yes, it is. Considering the conditions of the road, 20 is reasonable.
@@forsondrivingschool okay so it is 30 but If you do 20, you won’t be penalised?
@@user-ti2yb7do4c not at all. I've had that route multiple times and not once has any of my students been penalised.
@@forsondrivingschool thank you, that’s very helpful. Thank you for also clarifying the speed limit and a reasonable speed to keep whilst on that particular road too.
AT 27:36, would you fail for not staying on the left side of the two right lanes A23? Also, would you still indicate right if you were going into the left side of the two right lanes A23?
Is it correct that at 14:47, on the board, Sutton and Wallington is the 3rd exit? If so, what do the other two black lines on the board with no location mean? Also, was the student in the correct lane for this roundabout exit as there were 3 lanes and they seemed to be in the second lane at first and then in the right lane when they got closer to the stop line at the roundabout?
Re: the lines - from what I've learned, the stubby short lines when branching off a roundabout normally (it's radially perpendicular to the roundabout) are exits but smaller ones not worthy of labelling. However, when they are shown parallel to a bigger exist like this, it signifies that the exit it's parallel to is a dual carriageway and the stubby line is the entry lane of that. I'm still figuring out how to tell the difference at speed!
This may seem like a silly question but at 00:38, do you indicate left and then at 00:49 indicate right?
…when leaving the car park, you only have to indicate LEFT to come out of the bay. No further indication needed to go around the bend and through the gates.
@@forsondrivingschool thank you, so you would cancel the indicator as you approach the bend?
At 26:37, the speed limit changes from 40 to 30, when does the 30 speed limit start, is it just after the 30 post or before?
thats correct! when there's a change in speed limit, the new speed only applies from where the sign is and you must respond to it accordingly.
@@forsondrivingschool thank you, so would you start slowing down as you start to approach the 30sign or when you see it?
Howcome at 23:59, it says 30 on the post but you put 40mph on the video?
Howcome at 23:59, it says 30 on the post but you put 40mph on the video?
...thats because it 40mph on the carriageway until the roundabout.
@@forsondrivingschool thank you, that makes sense!
if a minor or major was made can you put it on the video so we can learn from it
This Is Your Best Short So Far! Keep Up The Good Work! I'm Sure Somebody Will Learn From This Someday.
Thank you. 👊🏾
27:49 the driver is to take the 2nd exit on the roundabout. Is that correct or did he take the wrong exit. Im Quite confused
Lol that van in the rest centre road is still there from March 😂
You noticed it too. I thought I was the only one. It must be the new Stonehenge, I mean, it's practically a landmark now. 😂🤣
Is this an actual test?
Yes, it is.
18:45 I was taught not to trust signals and only act if the car is actually turning. Just because there is a signal does not mean that the car will actually turn that way. Wouldn't the hesitation be justified in that case?
At 19:14 would that be a fail?
Yes my friend - Obstructing the pedestrian crossing is a fail.
Did your student pass?
No - failed on observation at the mini roundabout. 😢😥
@@forsondrivingschool i'm sorry to hear, they'll smash it for next time! :)
@@forsondrivingschool i think it was the roundabout at 12.22?
😮 How come?
Failed on it while turning into foots cray 😂
@@reverseflash03oh no - I'm sure you'd ace it on your next try!
@@forsondrivingschool thanks man
Hate this roundabout
Please tell us the faults!
*Driving Faults* Control - Steering, 2 Pedestrian crossings, 1 Progress - Undue hesitation, 1 Use of mirrors - Change direction, 1 Reverse park (road) - Control, 1
18:00 Reverse parking got a bit awkward. 27:22 Woman wanted to cross, but it seems the driver was focusing only on the guy even though there was an island. It seemed like there were some sharper breaks too. That's all I've noticed.
At 1:47, do we always have to signal left even if the road marking says 'turn left'? From your previous video, the car did not indicate left so just wanted to check please
Technically, no - we don't have to signal as the markings clearly instruct all traffic to turn left, but it helps other road users know what we're doing. You'd usually get a minor fault for this, but none of my students ever has.
@@forsondrivingschool thank you for your response! So to confirm, it is best practice to signal left as it would help the drivers behind to know.
When you say that they would get a minor fault, are you referring to signaling left even when markings clearly instruct to turn left ?
@@caren8332 Correct! Where all traffic must turn in a particular direction, signalling isn't necessary.
@@caren8332Correct. There are no clear and obvious signs anywhere, only the road markings, which can be difficult to see if there are several cars in front of you. I've seen many drivers take a right turn there, including myself (on my first visit to the TC many years ago). Don't judge me!! 😁
Thank you so much for your video. At 2:30, how do we know that the road is 20mph?
Hi, even though there are no clear signs indicating the speed limit, there are a few factors to consider: 1. It's a residential area. 2. The road is narrow and has parked cars. 3. There are yellow lines warning drivers to adjust their speed. Therefore, it seems reasonable to assume that the speed limit in this area is 20 mph.
@@forsondrivingschool I agree with 2 of your reasons for keeping to around 20mph but the legal limit here is 30mph. Highway code rule 124 states that "the presence of street lights generally means that there is a 30 mph (48 km/h) speed limit unless otherwise specified." If it were 20 there would most certainly be a sign as you enter the road, which there isn't and there should be repeater signs every 200 yards or so. Also, Yellow lines have no bearing on speed limits. I just felt the need to put out the correct information on how speed limits work, not to chastise you for saying "it seems reasonable to assume that the sp[eed limit in this area is 20mph". A maximum of 20 is plenty here! 😉
I had my test yesterday. This was my route. Passed with 4 minors. Thank you for sharing.
Congratulations bro 🎉. Well done!!! 👏🏾Thank you for tuning in and sharing your good news. Stay safe out there. Beep-Beep 🚗
When it shows 30mph on this video the speed mark on the road says 20mph , is there a reason for that
At 14:31, the entire road was 30mph before Covid. It was then changed to 20mph, but only for traffic approaching the hospital. This is why you would notice that the markings are only on one side of the road, specifically the side towards the hospital. Since we entered the road at 14:30 and had already passed the hospital, the 20mph speed limit did not apply to us. At the time of making this video, these were the rules, and the local council was also in the process of making the entire borough a 20mph zone. At 17:42, you'd notice, the road marking conflicts with the sign on the lamppost. The signs have since been updated but the road markings remain the same today. The examiners have stated that learners should adhere to the 20mph limit, as the whole of Lewisham is now a 20mph zone.
Watched whole thing where’s manuever
The manoeuvre was at the Test Centre (end of the test). It was a reverse bay parking but unfortunately, there were some examiners in the video so had to chop that bit off.😢 Thank you for watching though

I watch till the end and she/he did very well with his driving only that 4’th exit round about fails and if I’m correct the turning left on going back to the test center is minor fault? Omg I’m nervous xxgood luck next time babe xxx
Yes I think so
Hi and thank you for watching. The learner drove well indeed but that 4th Exit on Lombard Roundabout was the killer. Sadly the student took a 2nd test, got the same route and made the same mistake. It was like Deja Vu 😢😢 they were so nervous. Just relax, breath and take it slow. 1 Road at at ime and you'll be fine. Remember when you're asked to pull up to the left, it's a chance to pause, breathe and calm yourself. Good luck on your test!
Was the serious fault at 4:44 ?
I watch the video and I think yes that round about she failed.
@@dahliarose5310 Thank you
@@dahliarose5310 you're correct my friend. That was the only reason the candidate failed. 😢
Really appreciate you showing the speed limit, it can be hard to tell on some roads.
I’m confused how 19:19 is a serious fault
After the incident from 18:58 - concentration went downhill. The student didn't pay attention to the speed limit on that road and was driving about 25mph. You wouldn't notice it in the video but that's what happened.
Hi Forson, i really like you video. please make more videos about the Belvedere test center. I hope that in the future, I can learn from their mistakes. I found it much harder to pass this test center. thanks
A residential route, not one I've seen so very helpful for my test @HG in July, had a lot of meeting situations but managed to dodge the dreaded Cliftons roundabout! Good drive congrats! 🎉
This 360 feature go crazy… I like it
Thank you! You're the first to say that. I've had people struggle with it so was kinda discouraged to continue making them. I don't even think many people know that feature exists. So I appreciate your comment. 🙏🏾

Do the examiners really come out to check 😢😅 prepping for test this june 😅
Hey, yes they can and they do! Especially when you're too close to one side of the bay and they can't tell you're completely in. However, not every examiner would but if you fail to properly observe whilst doing the manoeuvre or have picked up a serious/dangerous fault prior, they won't even bother to check because at that point they know you've FAILED the test. Wishing you all the best on your test! 🤞
was he passed, he makes mistake on roundabout and another on Beddinton Give Way??
I’m afraid this was a FAILED test. The faults were exactly as you stated 😢

kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z2Z_j9d_f6fKeaQ.html is that the right lane ? not supposed to be in middle lane so then taking the exit?
you're correct my friend- staying in the middles makes it easier and safer to take the exit.
