  This is a nice video. I lived in this city from 1969 to 1971 when my late father was in the Air Force and was stationed at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. My family and I, including my dad, lived in the old Patrick AFB south housing units. Most of them are torn down and gone except for a few of them. Anyway, we used to walk to this beach from our house during the summer months. To be able to walk to the beach from your house is any kid's ultimate summer paradise! But you have to get used to those almost daily summer thunderstorms with that subtropical climate from the Atlantic Ocean along with those blasted mosquitoes! But that's Florida in the summertime for ya! But what I really like about this beach is,like you said, is it is nowhere near as crowded as Cocoa Beach. And the parking here is free at all of the beaches in the city of Satellite Beach. With that, you have to get there early if you want a good parking spot!. By the way, I have a question for you. Was this video shot at Hightower Beach Park? This was the beach that we used to walk to from our house when we lived there during the years I mentioned. I'm not sure, but I think it may have been called Capehart Beach during that time. But just don't quote me on that. I was told this by an employee of the Parks and Recreation Department of that city while I was there this past June on a week's summer vacation. I currently live in Southern CA. This is where we were stationed when we left Florida in 1971 and have been here since. But since I am a huge fan of Central Florida's space coast, I have come back here several times on summer vacation. They were the summers of 2000,2009,2011, and this past June as I mentioned earlier. For me also being a huge NASA fan, another thing I love are the rocket launches from The Cape as you may be aware of. They discontinued the space shuttle program in 2011, but the Air Force still launch other rockets from The Cape where my dad was stationed at when we lived there. And you can see those things launch from just about anywhere out there on the coast.They are real spectacular to watch,especially at nighttime! I had the distinct pleasure of watching Space Shuttle Discovery launch from Kennedy Space Center at midnight on August 28 or 29th. That was a sight to behold and will never forget! Anyway, I hope this post wasn't too long! As you can see and read, I have a huge passion for this area of Florida and will for the rest of my life! Great video once again!

  +jldiggity The waters in April are a bit chilly, but comfortable. April is the end of our random cold snaps and May is full on beach season for locals. But tourists start getting in the water as early as late February, haha.
