I always loved the Idea that the Moonlight greatsword is itself a Great Old One. It wasn't made it was found by Ludwig in a chalice dungeon. And Fromsoftware has said the Moonlight greatsword is sentient, with its own thoughts and feelings. so seeing Ludwig becoming more and more detached from humanity. Its shined its Moonlight and gave Ludwig part of his sanity back. And after we defeat him we get ahold of the sword. Maybe because its decided we are strong enough to weild it now Ludwig is gone.

its very beautiful to see someone who has been used then thrown away by the people he lived and died for, regain humanity and self-determination. i can identify with ludwig a lot currently and it gives me hope i can overcome my current obstacles eventually. best dlc out there i kinda like it more then the base game in a way.

There's something inspiring about seeing this fallen man regain some humanity, perhaps even nobility, even in the midst of a horrific bloody battle where he's mutated into a hideous beast stuck in an endless nightmare.

It's a wide variety of different items. The weapons are zweihander and misericorde. Outfit is the bandit mask, confessor armor, and the fire monk gauntlets and greaves.

His new outfit during the boss fight closely resembles the charred hunter set, especially the cape. It might be the outfit he used to wear in his glory days as a hunter, and he adorns it for the fight as he falls back to the violent past he had left behind.
