#zzplant #VariegatedZz #albo
The Zamiocoulas Zamiifolia is a common houseplant that has been grown commercially as one could see in hotels, Halls, Department stores due to it's thick and shiny foliage.
This particular ZZ is variegated, though stable but prone to producing pure white leaves.

Awesome video!!! Do u have any advice when it comes to propagating varagated zz? I have one that put out its first stock, but it's all white!😬 Is there any hope?😅 Or should I chop it off?😈✂️✂️✂️

Hello Elizabeth. :) So far I have propagated it in 2 ways. By separating healthy stalks. And growing it via single stem. The latter still on process but its showing success bec each one has its own bulbs/rhizome now. :). For all the white, Enjoy it while it last slowly the edges will turn brown and it will look like its melting. (I'll try to edit it here if I can to show the drying process but as soon as it starts to brown up) time to chop so the plant can focus its energy to producing new stalk. :)

@@ladyEnchantressGardenI have one and it’s finally pushing out a new stem. It took forever though. It seems like these are super duper slow growers. Their a beauty even if they don’t last long. Is there anything I can do to speed up the growth rate?

@@Bridi1973 yes indeed very slow grower compared to the other 3 other ZZ varieties I have. I'm sticking to organic but my other friends that keeps having some propagation are using Urea based ferts or any 14-0-0 fert. I dont use it coz container gardening is prone to fert burn unless you are confident about it. Best of luck.

I hate useless girlfriends...🤣 That's a very interesting presentation. I currently have no variegated plants, but I have seen some and wondered why they looked as they did, thinking that is how they are supposed to look. And I would think to myself, " Oh, cool looking plant" Wow was I misdirected 🤣 Thanks for clearing that up! 💥Cess💥

Soo cool!! Those anthuriums comes with a big tag. 😮.For the pink ZZ, I have noticed that with my raven.. some of the older leaves turned pink. But surely this pink hue came from the black ZZ..wish you luck on that, I have 4 kinds of ZZ in my collection now

@@PlantswithCoffee You've got a good headstart, I'll follow you from the back.🤩, I have seen a good number of its kind on Siam plant expo in Bangkok last Oct. And high on my list will still be the Siam Ruby Anth and the Anthurium Clarinervium. Internal target least 8 rare by end of 2024.

@@ladyEnchantressGarden wow thats gorgeous to have siam ruby, still expensive. But antfol has been with high tags ever since, plus new hybrids are emerging in the market. They are also not the same as philos or monstera that drop down the tag very fast. Like my Florida Beauty, just kast year very expensive
Lady Enchantress, when you said "it will eventually die" do you mean the stalk that's fully albo ONLY? Or do you mean the WHOLE plant that produces any fully albo stalk? Please clarify :)
@ladyEnchantressGarden
Жыл бұрын
Thanks Allan for that question. Only the entire stalk that its fully albo or no chlorophyll.
@ladyEnchantressGarden
Жыл бұрын
As of this time. It look like a melted chocolate that only the half of the stalk remains until nature will take its course
What if i cut off the stock of a full albo zz, could it get green variegation when ut shoots next?

Yes, the absence of chlorophyll in the plant can also be called plant Albinism thats why on some species its called 'Albo'.
