Hallo, kann man so nicht sagen - es handelt sich um einen Motor welcher in der Überarbeitung war. Er hatte schon ein Leben hinter sich und ein zweites vor sich. Wir verwenden meist Motoren vom Motoreninstandsetzer. Vile Grüße von unserem Service Team

Hello my friend, THIS is really no high precission anymore - this is old stuff meanwhile and also the way of working is adapted to average workshop posibilities. nice video, just wished you had started the job, as all mechanics do, with the engine still in the truck, and showed how it was removed, and the cylinder head and oil pan, etc. was removed :-) , or link to other videos of the other steps involved.

Hello Toni, unfortunately we cannot do. We tried the same - to investigate the manufacturer of that stand, together with the owner of that engine shop, but for that old stuff it was not possible to find out so easy. We are looking for the same solution for our D08 training engine, but final decision is to make one by our own in our apprentice workshop. We found some similar by Google search, but price level is extremely high. Sorry for that... Kind regards from our Service Team

Also considered construction but very difficult as our company requires proofing and certification. Please let me know if you find something. Thanks

seit wann werden die Kolbenringstöße nicht mehr auf 120 Grad versetzt montiert? erster Kompressionsring und ölabstreifer sind gleich! Ist das so korrekt?

@@maz7287 я пахал 2 года на каминс в китае. Движок этот после капитального ремонта и чистый, тот коммент. я написал шутки ради, но факт есть факт ни один советский движок в котором при сборке валенок в поддоне забыли не переживёт мерседесовский ОМ. Не зря все дальнобои стремятся к вольво, актросам, ивеко, сканиям и манам потому что это европейские машины, с отличной надёжностью и комфортом. Покатался я тут недавно на новом камазе (600 км битум вёз) ни разу в жизни в российский тягач больше не сяду.

Never shimmed a liner up with 0 rings in ever in 49 years.. Cut loads of liner seats too.

Agreed I never did either,he seemed to be worried about the rings leaking the way he examined them and put new ones in,looks like he's rebuilding that engine,what an engine stand,were you fixing Cats by any chance

8:07 why those piston rings on 0° - 270° - 0°, isn't better to put them on 0° - 180° - 0°?

@@rosewhite--- , yes, you are right - but one view is disassembling the engine, the rings are in the position where they turned to by themselves, the other point of view is assembling the engine - and to start the process the best thing might be to turn the rings that the gaps are far away from each other to avoid blow by.
