Zygonisia Rhein Blue Angel Pot Swap

I messed things up when I re-potted this orchid about six months ago, using too small a pot. I was trying to make sure that it didn't have too much depth as the root system wasn't very good but while it's put out some lovely roots they're not going downwards. Let's see if putting it into a larger pot will help.
The name of the Zygo hybrid I couldn't remember is Louisendorf.

I’ve found my Zygo’s like deeper pots, and my plants were in 4inch pots to start with(busting out of them), so I used the 2 inch pots, added drainage holes with help from my trusty soldering iron and placed them upside down in the center of 6 inch pots to use some of the space. It gives extra drainage and air to the center of the roots. It seemed like the thing to do.🤷🏼‍♀️. I’m hoping for good results, but they both look pretty happy so far. Here’s to happy, healthy orchids! 🪴👍

If your Zygos are thriving you're doing well. Many people won't touch them with a barge pole because they have a reputation for being difficult. Mine aren't by and large but I've got it wrong with the Scentsations (probably Louisendorf) and it dropped back. It's now growing vigorously again. I have found that even orchids that like moisture don't like to stand in water. I use what I call a "wet/damp" cycle, watering only when moisture is just discernable when I stick a finger down into the pot. I try not to make the mistake of equating a dry top with a dry base and hold off until I'm sure.
