Last time there was empty roads like that in the U.K. was in the 1950s. I have a Zx9r E1. Great footage 👍

Done several 170+ mph passes on C and E models on GPS. Good to see the B model can still hang.

I just got one Kawasaki ZX-9R C2 1999 (Streetfighter bomber look). I checked today what gears I have, so this one is with 15 & 46 right now. I ordered 17 & 43. I checked with Gearing commander that 17 & 43 should go 300km/h at 12000rpm. Would you try 17 & 43 and show how it went? I would appriciate. ;)

Hi Mate, I cannot use this final gearing in the B model, it has different gear ratios compared to C. You need to have a gearing so top speed is reached at Max HP RPM which is around 11.000rpm. over 11k the engine is weaker. I think C model can reach 285-290 GPS with proper gearing on slight downhill.

@@BalikaMr Thanks! My bike has been modificated into streetfighter bomber -style so Im propably not going to try out those speeds but right now I have 17 at front and 43 at rear. I had to modificate rear tire axle holes of rear fork and a bit from rear brake saddle connection plate to make these sprockets fit with the chain. I also took off Dynojet C136 jets and what so ever DynoJet needles and installed stock 155 and V74N needles with 2pcs .5 washers. Not sure how it's going to work as "every day cruiser" but I hope it does. The reson I wanted 17 & 43 was found from Gearing commander program. The program does show intresting values with these while max rpm is set as 12000. Are you running stock jets and needle shims? As you told about the max rpm 11000, and it's suppose to be full power, yes, so Gearing commander says it would be 17 & 40 and 17 & 39 if you please to reach over 300km/h at full power which would be the most possible spot to actually hit it. Maybe try?

Hi Balazs. Try lifting your but about 15cm from the seat. It's a trick I learned from a Canadian motorcycle racer. IT WORKS! I used to do it on my R1. You'll gain AT LEAST 10kmh

To be fair it is a carbed bike so you do get a bit of splutter occasionally.

The B1 will definitely do over 300 if it was lighter. it's just too damn heavy. The engine in the b1 is a Gorilla. I owned mine for 12 years from when I purchased mine back in '95 and got it to 270 whilst loaded with luggage for a road trip we took in '97. I now have 2 E2 bikes which are way better than the B series.

Too damn heavy... Sure it is! From 1998 C model, Zx9r become 32kgs lighter. 300 top speed? No. Just not enough HP to reach this. For acceleration, superior power to weight ratio is the winner, for top speed max power vs. Aero drag. 32 kg decrease would have minimal effect on top speed of the machine, though, it would accelerate significantly quicker. Later series models from 2000 E model are significantly better bikes, I fully agree.
