Whatever you get avoid Sony Ericsson phones they're horrendous I got their 1st smartphone offering & I very quickly returned it (within the 14day no quibble returns policy) only other phone to are blackberry & HTC both of which went out of business about 2018ish Samsung are by & far the best phones available

@@martinivlogs It's a fantastic device actually, I really don't know why folks hate on the selfie cam so much its really, really good actually. Sure, it's not as good as the S22's non-UDC cam but for me, the trade off between an uninterrupted display is absolutely worth it. The only thing the AX40 is missing IMO is wireless charge but I rarely use it on my OP 10 pro so I've come to the conclusion I don't really need it lol I currently have the Ax30 but oddly enough was going to buy the 12/256 Ax40 this weekend!

Wish ZTE has that zoom power. Don't use selfie cam, really rare, so i prefer no hole punch but quality is meh...but i prefer to see vids and games with clear screen. You must do a comparision with Xiaomi ultra and s22 ultra ;) cheers from Portugal

Bro I want to buy this ZTE 40 Ultra, from where did you buy this pls tell me

looked up for latest zte phone. i had very good experience with zte phones until they were banned last 2020.. trying to go back. the 2 old zte i had are still working till now. one was dropped in a bucket of water. other one was smacked hard to the ground but the screen didnt break. Both those phones took good pictures. comparing it to my note 10+ pictures almost look the same. If those pictures didnt have the zte date watermark on photos i wouldve thought its from my note 10+.

You can still get ZTE phones from independent suppliers....there's a phone seller called imzi communications in the back of Manchester's arndale centre they can & usually do get phones that are otherwise supposedly only available on lengthy monthly contracts from the BIG network providers I.e. O2 Vodafone & EE there's usually plenty of independent pay&go sim card providers if you want to get a GSM sim free phone.....all you need do is look around......good luck

Can you see any Picselation on zte screen being 400ppi ?

ZTE has come a long way but they need to control that heating or else it will lead to glitching leading to restarting the phone too often...

Depends on where you live. You get 80w charger then watt you will get max out from USA plug is 65w. This applies for oneplus 10 pro either

Both OneUI and MyOS are very well optimised and enjoyable to use. They both have their own customisation features and tricks. I enjoyed using both. Im very well aquatinted with OneUI, so it might be my personal performance. But I love how MyOS12 is fast, fluid and has privacy and security features to match. You won't be disappointed with either.

Great .. but I wish you would say in your opinion is the best.. Or if you were buying for yourself and wasn't a tech guy , which one would you go for honestly ? Thanks

If I was not a techie, I would pick the Samsung. It is hands-down one of the best Android phones you can buy right now. The camera system is just incredible. The build quality is impressive. The s-pen is a really nice bonus. There is nothing that can compete with the S22 ultra at the moment. That is my honest opinion. I thought the AXON 40 Ultra was similar so I made this comparison to showcase the differences.

On the picture of the garage, which phone is closer to the original color? There is quite a bit of difference.

I also have the same lines on the display. I have noticed that they only appear in dim light, they are invisible in bright light.

I believe it's a licensing issue with Snapdragon in Europe so they were forced to use their own chip in European markets

Yes, would have liked to. But it's difficult to get hold of the snapdragon version of the S22 Ultra in the UK.

Are you sure s22 ultra has dolby vision?

Personally, I will try the ZTE AXON 40 ultra.

As a general rule I'd go for the Samsung but only because I'm used to their phones as for these 2 particular phones? it's a case of swings & roundabouts both have an edge on the other in various different aspects....my only major disappointment & concern is that neither has any external memory capacity which means that if you lose the phone or? break it or? it otherwise has technical issues then you will lose all your important data that's on it & with no way of recovering that data especially not if you don't have either or? both a laptop & tablet to debunk & store all your necessary data onto.....this will also mean that you're unable to update your WiFi hub/router/dongle & you'd also lose the ability to communicate with family or? others in an emergency situation.....so? therefore for me the lack of micro sd card support is a big big oversight but? now seeing as it's 2023 & the S22 has been superceded by the S23 then this comparison is kinda irrelevant because the S22 is old tech & the S23 is due to be superceded by the S24 in 2024 quite what it's advantage over it's 2 older predecessors is going to be is quite literally anyone's guess

During launch you could only play COD on low graphics. So it has improved since. But I guess Exynos just cannot keep up with Snapdragon.

because its still new architecture. This exynos is packed with NEWER AMD GPU (Xclipse) and possibly capable of Ray Tracing in the future. most games or software today barely support its GPU. This is the Evolution of the OLD GPU design that snapdragon or other chipset uses which is the old Andreno

You should use 10x Zoom Lens on S22U. Instead of it you just zoomed with electronic approximation. It's not professionally.

Another great comparison! Personally, I would never pay over 1000 for a phone, but in this case, we get what we pay for...

Before I was a Tech KZreadr, the most expensive phone I bought was around £800 it was a Samsung phone, I proper saved up for it as I could not afford it straight away. I used it as my daily driver for over 4 years, I absolutely treasured it. It survived for a long time, in fact I still have it in a draw, it still works fine. I know the feeling, phone prices are soaring and I know its difficult. But you get what you pay for and the top phones last long, when looked after.

@@ChigzTech The problem is that highend means always a lousy price-performance ratio. The last 10-20% means twice the price or even more. I have a Poco F3 for 1.5 year now and love it. I paid €299 and can't imagine why people want to pay 3x the price.

I guess a photographer might pay extra for those power cameras features in the S22 Ultra. A regular user might not need all that power and be happy with a more affordable phone. Each to their own I suppose. Im currently using the Poco F4 Gt and for some reason I can't put it down, I like it that much. After reviewing phones, they mostly go back In their original boxes, but the POCO stayed with me.

I actually only spent $250 on the S22 Ultra. Traded in my note 20 ultra for it & got $850 trade-in credit. Bought the note 20 ultra for $700 in 2020.

Well ZTA did a great job

my recommendations about samsung my old phone is redmi note 9 i play heavy games all day long and the battery doesn't heat up samsung after 5 minutes it starts to heat up i don't say the battery doesn't last this is my experience i don't say redmito is better for me i say this which I have experienced

What about sound, cameras, utilities, battery durability, video reproduction???? This test is for gamers only!

Das ZTE Axon 40 Ultra hat den IMX 787 Sensor von Sony der hat im Connect Test mit der Hauptkamera besser abgeschnitten wie der des Samsung S 22 Ultra und die Nebenkameras sind auch nicht von schlechten Eltern da wurde im Gegensatz zum Vorgänger auch einiges verbessert such die Akkulaufzeit ist besser geworden.

I like the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra due the design and better hardware performance the Samsung looks good too.

different widths cause the same diagonal screen size to be different physical sizes. It's why modern slim aspect ratio 6.8" phones are not as massive as older more boxy screen 7" tablets with 16:9 aspect ratio displays. Also the size the the bezels, so the front of the phone that isn't screen, may be slightly different meaning the samsung is larger whilst having same display size.

measuring the more curved display diagonal of the ZTE gives a smaller profile than Galaxy 💯 the ZTE is still a great buy for the money in late '23 💯 the only drawback is the stock camera needs improving with sw updates

bad experience with zte 10 years ago, never bought any zte product since then

I think you cant choose max because the s22 has wqhd and the zte is FHD. Id rather play games in 2k, anything more just is overkill.

£440 more and it has that stupid hole punch 🤣🤣 keep it Samsung - I haven't missed you since I left you with the original Galaxy.

ZTE customer support is practically non-existent. If something goes wrong you'll need to send your device abroad for repair and will have to pay the shipment fees. If the damage is not within the warranty parameters, they'll charge you more than you paid originally for the phone. And to add insult to injury, if the situation in the Pacific gets worse you can kiss goodbye to any insurance or warranty on Chinese products. So not a clever buy.
