N/A spyderco o and benchmade. Every zt I’ve had has had lock slip. I just don’t have any confidence in them. I’ve owned about 6 but the locks are not secure. Now knowing what I know frame locks need to be fitted they can’t just be slapped together. But zt has had lock issues going back to cliff stamp and the 0560

Do you know if the framelock on this knife is strong is there any strength test video on it?

Yeah, shit. I just ordered one form Amazon and wanted to see what Nick Shabazz had to say -- and while watching that review I saw this in the recommended and thought "Oh shit! Maybe I should cancel!" I don't seem to get to this channel a lot, but I know it's a good knife channel just the same.

That title was a lip confuseing. Was waiting for the bad and ugly the whole video and it never came. Read it again and now it makes sence haha

A carry my 0452cf every single day, & use it literally like 100 times a night cutting up bar fruit...pineapples justify it's length. I bought it after your video, smoothest folder. Until a high roller tips me $1k & I get a shiro, it's my daily

Other than the size being an issue in certain parts of the world, this is probably the best thing ZT makes. But it's not the cheapest thing they make either. Blade isn't that thin, so it's not the BEST slicer. But great ergonomics and really light for the size. Great action too. It's a good knife for what it's designed to be.

Over 3 ears later... Still an excellent knife The 452CF still being sold and is in ZT's line up. Currently I have the 452CF, 'TI and GL.. there's still a few big knives around but good quality folders with over a 3.75" Blade are rare.

Sweet action and great tink sound on that 452CF!!

Gave mine to my brother in law and now I miss it. Great knife!

This is a knife that is good to see in person. It’s really big. I was surprised how big it was when I held it. Extremely good looking knife though.

As I watched your video I have a ZT 0452CF M390 BLU in my pocket. I am a bit of a ZT nut, but most all of my knives are part of a collection which will never see any real use. I have a Rexford ZT 0804 and two Les George ZT 0909s that are the work horses of the knives I have. I get such a kick from the knife community with their titanium and carbon fiber knives and the "upgrading" we do. Upgrades improve the performance of a tool. As you correctly stated, we accessorize knives far more than anything else. I upgraded many a road racing bicycle over the years to make it lighter and hopefully a bit faster. Accessories were few and far between.

Huh? I love my 0452 Is my favorite knife. His new 462 is amazing too. They are never sells for me. You made the correct decision. The decision to make a sloped choil that will sharpen away eventually. It seems to be a Sincovich style choice, though, since the 460 and 462 are the same. Great choice. I got the 460 and my next purchase will the the 462. The “2” knives fit my hand better; the “0” are a bit to small but still extremely nice.

they are out there if you know where to look... :) And I do like his designs. I can't wait for the 0470.

My wife agrees. When I bought mine and it showed up she said what a beautiful knife it was in it’s shape and lines. Really lovely blade.

My 0452CF arrived today. It is a great knife. My first real knife. Great balance and fun to open. I am left handed. A little practice to close with one hand; but after that, smooth as silk. I have the same Scuderia flag in my garage. Adrian Newey. Can you imagine the knives he could design? Opening a a Newey knife would have so much aero. It would slice through air. Great vid. Thanks.

I absolutely love that blade but if there was a medium sized version it’d be perfect!

I also had all 3 and sold my 456 after I put the blue hardware on it. I loved the 456 but it was really just a looker. I hated to carry it being afraid of scratching the ti handles! I've kept the 450 and 452 because I love them both and will probably always keep them. That should be a good pair for you to as his and hers matching knives!!

I was gifted one to replace my Honey Badger as my firefighter work knife. It is now my favorite flipper knife. It's absolutely amazing. What a difference CF and S35VN makes compared to FRN and 8Cr13Mov!!

I really like my 0452cf. The action is great and it has the looks. Yes it is a little long but it carries well. I did get a longer deep Cary clip from ZT. One of my favorites.

This knife is amazing one of my fav knives esp by ZT. That 4" blade flies out!

There are 3 knives I love more than all the rest I own (some of which I paid over twice as much for like my Chris Reeve Large Sebenza with wood inserts and my Gunner Grip Strider SNG). My 3 favorite knives are all ZT knives, the 452, the 460, and the 462. They live by my bedside in a drawer where I keep my “fondle” blades. :) I really love them and recommend them to anyone who loves quality knives.

Love mine. Never leaving my collection.

Finally getting my STP tool tomorrow and will be swapping blades and hardware between the 0609 and 0609BLK !

Owned it back in 2016 and traded for something else. Been missing it since then so I decided to buy another on 7/13/24. I paid almost another 100 bucks for it due to the rip off economy but I don’t care, I had to have it once more. Great blade.

This is my favorite knife in my collection. I have a low numbered one, I lost it so I purchased another one with a much higher production number. Fortunately I found my OG one now I proudly own 2. Wish I had 2 more

Zt's are an addiction for alot of knife collectors and I am starting to be among them. Got the 0350 to start but now I have the 0770cf. I absolutely love it and am super sad I cant carry a knife at work.

Had a 456. Heavy and burly with a super smooth action. Have regrets on letting it go. Might be the first knife I buy twice

It is a marvelous knife. I like the 462 also.

I liked it so much here I am watching the video I so like this knife. Might have to save up for this one.

Blade HQ has them on sale for 180. Got one with next day because I’m impatient. So it’ll be here Tuesday and also ordered bronze standoffs, screws and clip. My questions are , 1. is the luck screw functional or just looks? 2. Could standoffs be changed without messing with the pivot screw?

That 0452CF and the Spydiechef are my top two carries. Although as hunting reason approaches the Stretch 2 will be coming on strong.

I wanted the 0452cf for a long time but saw a video of ZTs having issues with the lock up and it wasn't just one ZT,the guy had a table around 6 to 7 ZTs all had issues with lock slip,the knives would close pretty easily if striked with moderate force. Did you guys have that issue with your zts?

I did a small choil mod on mine works great and I have the blue hardware in mine as well

0452CF is pure awesome

Just got the ZT0452GL the other day. Number 253 from House of Blades.

I really love the 0462cf too. It’s lighter than the 0452cf if you can believe that 20cv steel too. Both are my favorite budget friendly production knives. 0452 is one of the best flippers on the market custom and production.

The Drunken or the 0456 will be my next expensive knife purchase. The drunken is aproaching glock territory so I'm having a slow thought process on it.

Hey I fidget with my 0452cf quite a bit and although I have blue locktight on the pivot it keeps working loose. This is the same with my 801ti. I know it's from me flipping so much but that shouldn't matter

Love my g10 452 in M390 and gold ano. It starts to get a rose gold color.

Saving up to get one for Christmas.

ahhh I really want both the 0450 and 0452cf. But I am also distracted by Frankie's nails :D We have about the same size hands from what I can tell so how each holds is a good size comparison on the knives.

Where do you guys find the anodized hardware for your knives?

Love the 452CF, but I wish the blade was thinner and ground for slicing. I also wish Sinkevich did plunge grinds correctly.

My 0452cf is a definite keeper, but the blade tip is vicious even when folded. It protrudes almost to the end of the scale. Being a tip up carry, it has bitten my finger several times. I’ll eventually sharpen it down, but if I’m not careful, it draws blood.

Its my next buy for sure, it costs 1k here... so, i been waiting, lol, already have the little brother 0450CF.

I bought one of these when I first starting watching these guys and nick shabazz only for the action and on there recommendations and it was an awesome knife except for the fact then when I got it it was dull. I called ZT and they told me to send it out to em for sharpening. But tbh I just sent it back bc who wants to have to send a knife back for sharpening right after unboxing it?! Since then it kind of put a bad taste in my mouth. And also when I got it S35vn was a lot more Premium of a steel and by that I mean it wasn't on a ton of different knives. Now you can get s35 knives with great actions for under $150 even $100 in some cases. Back then in 2015 it was a great knife and you had to pay $220 for a great action and S35 but now a days you can get a great ball bearing action and a Premium blade steel for much more affordable prices. And they probably will be sharp when you get them.

Big knife at a good price it's EDC no problem 👍

5:15 welcome to the left handed struggle. At some point you just learn to adapt to right handed liner locks and compression locks. Stop giving a crap about the show side, and pray to your gods that your favorite knife is fully ambidextrous or the company cares enough to make a lefty model. In the end, the only thing that matters is a reversable pocket clip.

So I have a few ZT. 0452cf is the going out on Friday or Saturday. Light slim and murderous! The clip is an optically elusive. Small clip and small profile in the pocket allows the appearance of a blade that is not a threat...Sike. Keep it like forever

It’s the best knife I can’t bring myself to buy. I’ve gone into my LKS several times with intent to buy, grabbed the floor model out of the case, and thought to myself, “This thing is huge!” Definitely a pocket saber. Sadly, a bit too much for me. ☹️

I would recommend the Realsteel Megalodon eclipse 2018 Carbon fiber and titanium handle with böhler M390 steel, better steel for the money 😉
