Yeah what West said man I've had four of these S-Series trucks two of which were ZR2 is I had a 98 Blazer ZR2 I had it 03 S10 ZR2 that had a 2in lift in it and then I've had also to stalk Blazers 1/2 door 1 4 door 98 and 99 and 99 I still have. they're good trucks man to Never Let You Down that's for sure.

I've had nothing but front end problems with these trucks to the moon and back. I've owned 4 of them. All had various tire sizes up to 35s with 2.5" rc lift and 2" body. The best case scenario with these trucks is to just keep it stock, always air down and drive slow. Because the front end components are pin

Maybe if you take er easy over the massive bumps before the mud your suspension would last a lil longer. You don't need to be hitting puddles at 35mph to get through, that's why we have 4wd

I've did tons of research about 4wd issues, lifts, tire sizes, and regearing ..definitely dont wanna do a SAS! Not for me...Did you lose alot of power upgrading your rims and 31s?? Plan on doing some videos of my own after I get situated. I've got stock 235s on it now. But wanted to get some more info to see what route to go before dropping slot of money in it.

Jeff Anderson the g80 would start to spin the 2nd tire after the other one is stuck, if it was locker the momentum of both wheels spinning evenly would not get it stuck. If you ever launch hard with a pozi you will notice that it pull to one side(that's the revolutions before it engages). A spool, locker, welded differential would pull straight.

@@DAGOLFER34 my 99 ranger is going to be overhauled soon. I bought it last year for a measly 1700 bucks. It is a 3.0 5 speed 4x4 super cab with 200k and NO RUST (hard to find in the north). But even though those are higher miles, I've seen many of the 3.0s go well over 300k, highest going up to 425k all original in a windstar. Also, I eventually planned on putting in a 4.0 ohv motor so that wasnt a big deal to me anyway, would like a 302 5.0 but they're a pain to make 4x4 unless you have a large budget and a lot of spare time, where the 4.0 is pretty much plug and play. I wish you luck on your build 🤣 I might cover the mods I do to mine
