Thanks to everyone for the upload encouragement. Kudos once again go to Zoumana - the only explanation I can give for the brilliance of this piece is a comment he once made about drumming - his drumming is often a communication with his ancestors - I just wish I had that kind of hot line ; )

Beautiful djembe kan. Fantastic range of sounds and some delicate finger techniques. Maybe...just maybe, my favourite djembe kan I've ever heard (including Boka Camara). Thank you for posting :)

Yeah...it's a common misconception for people to hear something like that and think 'wow...that drum sounds amazing...it must be a special drum'. Of course it's always the fola who is amazing. Of course a nice drum helps but it won't turn you into djembe fola overnight!

sounds just like a Darbuka solo! (Aarabic bellydance) I love African dance as well this sounded great! Loving the beat
