yeah kind of but the key was just matching enma's expectations, to be on the same level as enma and to give it the power it wants ..like if people die using enma, they were just too weak for it, that's why enma is constantly pulling haki, not to drain the user but to signal that it's not enough power to be worthy for that sword

Nope. It's by having 100% confidence in yourself. If you paid attention you'd see that enma only starts to resist him when Zoro starts doubting himself. It won't serve a weak-willed master

Idk if its *exactly* conquers. It might be a situation like sanji where his version of that haki color is a little different. Like sanji armament haki takes the form of fire. And from some reason zoro form of conquers takes the form of some demonic aura.

@@ducasse8473 it is conqueror’s coating (hence the effect of the fodder soldiers going unconscious). Which is the same thing Luffy is/has been using against kaido but in weapon form. Which a technique called advanced conqueror’s Haki where you can imbue it in your attacks.

@@malicious8909 Oden got stronger after that, Whitebeard could not one shot the Oden that fought Kaido. Roger never one shot him, he just sent him away and Oden got right back up.
Oda still continuing with his "Training Arc in the middle of an actual fight" and I love it. That moment the Haki turns from Oden's purple to Zoro's green? Hits about as hard as when Zoro went to cut some leaves and they were fine before proceeding to cut steel.

There is no “Oden” Haki. It’s just Zoro’s own Haki. The moment it turns green signifies the use of Advanced Conqueror’s. Without it - it’s purple like it has always been. Zoro had purple Haki when he fought Killer.

Since Zoro thought of Enma as just a wild and cursed sword, he wasn't able to utilize it's potential. He unlocked his conqueror's haki and tamed his sword by changing his perspective and realizing he is worthy of being the master of all his swords. Beautiful message.. gotta love Oda man

This show just keep getting better, the foreshadowing is top tier. If kuina’s grandfather made enma & ichimonji before leaving wano then that means a whole group of people from wano including zoro’s father was with him, we need MORE!

Kitetsu is also made by the same smith, and Tenguyama likened the coincidence to destiny. And yes, when Shimotsuki Kozaburo left Wano he wasn't alone, and Zoro's mother was one of their children.

Basically zoros grandma is the sister of shimotsuki ushimaru and she met roronoa pinzoro (his grandpa) from there they had a son roronoa arashi who met someone on the island named terra (zoros mother) they are all dead I believe

Zoro acknowledging Oden's superior strength was really the ruler we needed to see that Zoro still has a tough way to go before beating Mihawk, but at the same time show how far he has come!

@@benbeckmann6424 Oden had complete control of his swords, in particularly Enma. Enma was stealing Zoro haki, draining him, it wasn't by choice nor was he willingly releasing too much Haki. Saying Oden didn't release much Haki is not true at all. Oden was a much greater swordsmen then current Zoro and far more gifted swordsman coming up. Oden as a kid was naturally strong, already a monster among the strongest in Wano. Zoro as a kid trained alot more then Oden did as a kid & yet with all that training was much weaker then Kuina. Kuina who was Kozoboru Shimotsuki grand daughter. She was no Oden talent wise. Zoro is great, however it mostly comes from his determination, hardwork and mindset. Zoro wasn't a monster as a kid like Oden was. Zoro had the determination as a kid that got him to where he was. Momonosuke who unlike Oden wasn't raised as a warrior, just from having Oden blood & when Shinobu aged Momo 20 years. Without training Momo had ridiculous physical strength & durability similar to Oden. Zoro is always training, improving, working on his strength & skill. He didn't inherit or have a strong body from young like Oden. Nor was he a genius like Mihawk. Mihawk was likely a prodigy. Zoro wasn't just strong from a young age like Big Mom, Kaido, Garp, Oden. Oden mastering a sword like Enma with ease shouldn't be a suprise. It's no different from a young Garp destroying mountains with his fists or Big Mom at age 5 beating Elbaph warriors. Zoro is a great fighter, who lives in a world that contains monsters. Oden is one of those monsters.

If you ever struggling with anxiety and recurrent panic attack, think about Zoro in this scenes. Anxiety is an emotion linked to fear, it aint appearing over malice, its showing you information and squeezing every drop of your energy to help you take action over reality, it wont go until you face the danger you are perceiving or take messures against it
The key to controlling Enma was Zoro’s Conquerors Haki which doesnt have a limit and wont hurt his body (It’s his will embodied)

I believe its Zoro's mind as a Samurai to control himself in every time and remain completely stoic. He activated Enma before against Kaido but it was in moment of rage to save Luffy. In this scene we behold Zoro basically understanding that instead of using percents of his power in his mind he must let go 100% percent allout haki through it. One Piece is absolutely taking me by storm recently.

Oh it has a limit. Zoro has always had strong haki. It developed into conquerors when he used deadman’s game. Hes been conserving his haki to figure out how to fight king. But realized that he can’t wield enma without his full potential. All of these things are made pretty damn clear. These are all just steps to him getting his blades to the level of Mihawks sword. Which has been explained as well.

@@or366 Powerscalers like to say that Oden being one hit by Kaido makes him weaker. All it says is that he was caught off guard and wasn’t defending himself with haki bc Momo. People like WB, Roger, and Oden don’t have high base durability. That’s why WB got donuted by Akainu when he was weakened. Attack Power wise Oden should’ve whooped Kaido. He even tanked his boro breath earlier on. Guy got even stronger after being with WB and Roger

As you may notice, Zoro has been looking at King this entire time. He doesn't even realize he has conqueror's.

I understand it now. The sword is not making him stronger. It’s teaching him. Oden released haki constantly so that’s what the sword is used to. The sword doesn’t just belong to Oden anymore. No, it is Zoro’s. By the end, the other two will be the same as Enma.

Would be pretty cool if by the end of one piece, and in the future, Wado Ichimonji and Sandai Kitetsu both become "cursed" simply because they draw out so much Haki as well

Enma is on the same level as shusui or even wado ichimonji it has nothing to do with the level. Every sword has its own purpose.

So even if mihawks blade wasnt demanding much, i doubt it would accept anyone that didnt defeat mihawk in an honest battle as a new wielder.

It bothers me so much that there is no conqueror's haki sound effect in this moment.

Zoro didn't fully control anything. He simply let Enma take as much as it pleased, and he put his life at risk as a result.
Bro went from normal armament to advanced conquerors quicker than Luffy
Zoro vs King is his most important fight since Mr. 1 all the way back in Alabasta
I remember when this chapter was released, and the galaxy brains on the subreddit just couldn't understand "I made a promise to my captain and best friend" was referring to both Kuina and Luffy. They all thought it was just Luffy.

It's not an English problem because in the context we are given it is very clear Zoro is talking about 2 people. His best friend and his captain. Not once has he ever called Luffy his best friend.
