Stockholm’s ZORNHEYM have announced their worldwide signing with Germany's powerhouse label Noble Demon for the release of the band’s sophomore album, entitled "The Zornheim Sleep Experiment".

Founded and led by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Zorn, who was determined to shake up the traditional "metal-meets-symphony" approach after leaving iconic black metallers Dark Funeral, ZORNHEYM quickly grew from an ambitious idea into a dramatic musical and narrative driven concept revolving around the horrors of a mental institution and its prisoners. The band's critically acclaimed debut album, "Where Hatred Dwells and Darkness Reigns," opened the doors of the asylum in 2017, introducing the terrifying concept and gruesome characters within. Four years later and featuring 10 new tracks of powerful, cinematic and mesmerizing symphonic extreme metal, ZORNHEYM's upcoming album picks up where they left off, inviting the listener on a distracting journey, straight into the depths of the asylum! Once again, ZORNHEYM create their very own wall of sound by using a real choir and a string quartet and bring the story to life in a graphic novel that accompanies and expands upon the stories behind the album!

@@senseinuuh we are currently writing on the album. Two songs are more or less complete and there are plenty of material waiting to be arranged to full songs! Our music takes a lot of time to write and arrange. The overall concept is also thought out. Have you a physical version of any of the albums? The booklet makes the album more enjoyable since you can grasp the concept a lot more with it.

I came from youtube ads the song is lit .
I was just thinking, that haven't heard anything new and interesting music lately, but then got recommended this. First time hearing this band. From 8th second, I knew it's gonna be my kind of music. Usually I whine about harsch vocals, cause they all sound the same and don't give much emotions, but here harsch vocals are actually the best and maybe clean ones feel kinda excessive in this song. Musically also very interesting, swedes are known for good music and mixing and putting attention to every little detail, like 3:33 stop, gives so much for the song. Have listened the song for some 5 times now on repeat and will keep my eyes on this band in the future.

@@user-ry1qj9hw7r Not correct. He spent only his last year there. He was sent there by KGB. After Estonia was occupied by russians. He and his family got deported to Ufa city in Russia. Mental hospital was just an excuse, it was basically keeping him in prison. My family was actually good friends with his family at that time. So my grandparents have told me some very cruel stories what they had to go through.

Amazing to say the least. Symphonic extreme metal can't sound much better than this, some of the best sound of it's kind. Outstanding videoclip by Carl, great fitting and allot into the whole Zornheym / Zornheim asylum concept! Can't wait for the new album.
