I love how the honey badger is Zootopia's Alex Jones equivalent. If they had her suspicions set on shape shifting lizard people instead of sheep, it might've saved the plot twist.

The Deleted Character that I think is a shame to have lost was Nick's father, the tailor Jonathan "Honest Jon" Wilde. It was a shame you didn't bring him up in the video, as he was a major part int he original script for how Nick ended up the way he did. My favorite character would be Annalise Winters/Fabienne Growley. Better known as the Snow Leopardess News Anchor. Different official sources give different names but Annalise was offered first before a fan suggested she be named after her voice actress and one of the heads liked it.

Nick also became my favorite Disney character, I loved his great development, and how he evolves in the situations he lives with Judy.

I hope they bring Swinton back in the sequel. Yup. Mostly because she was a good character for being a baddie. And also pigs are omnivores, so they can easily switch between being 'docile' prey to predators themselves.

I would of wanted to see Mayor Swinton as the bad guy, i mean girl, in stead of mayor bellwether

I do too, although I think they kind of kept the similar idea w Nick having a "coming of age" moment when he joined the scouts and then getting "shocked", or in his case muzzled/ bullied. I think the concept was kind of weird w the collar ceremony though bc why would you be proud of giving your child or any predator a virtual ID card/ thing that abuses and marks them as different?? That's probably in part why it was cut. I think it would have been a really sad moment to see such a cute character like Morris lose a piece of his innocence after getting shocked (who knows--maybe being treated differently is what made his father turn into a gangster?? Hmmmm...) but we basically saw that sad scene happen to Nick

Aw, yes, Morris's Taming Party seems like a really moving scene, doesn't it? The thing with animated movies (especially Disney and Pixar) is that they go through so many different versions/ideas before they get to the finished film that inevitably lots of great ideas/scenes/characters are lost along the way. Would be great to see them make sure of them in a different form though, as you say. :-)

Yeah, but there's no way to fit a taming party in the finished version where tame collars don't exist.

I really really REALLY want another Zootopia based on Nick's point of view which was the original idea before they thought it was too dark. His past was barely spoken about in the edited movie so I want to see more of the darker side! I'm actually kind of sad they didn't keep the collar idea either. I guess I like darkness lol

So did Honey believe everything was being ruined by the ill-wool-minati? ...I'm sorry. I felt like that pun needed to have been said.

Yes they thought that mammals were enough to begin with and they said Zootopia could be on one continent which just has mammals and reptiles for example could be on a different continent.

Now that I know the pig mayor existed, I’m actually really mad she didn’t make it into the film - especially if she had remained in control of a legion of sheep. This would have made an awesome connection between Zootopia and George Orwell’s “Animal Farm”, in which corrupt pigs rise to power over a farm and teach the sheep (who are easily convinced) to follow their philosophy. Personally, I would have loved to see the original movie with the TAME collars way more than the finished product…the sheep disguising themselves as wolves to discredit predators would fit nicely with their leader pig’s plan, and besides, I think that the Wild Times plot was way more unique and interesting - at least to my tastes. :)

I really hope they do something with Zootopia. I would love a show, seeing how they have just so many different places to work with. Seems they had to cut and change alot, so a TV show would also let them work with stuff they really wanted in the movie. Sadly I'm sure we'll get another movie if anything before the show.

That's an interesting suggestion about making a TV show with the characters. It's the route they've chosen to go with Big Hero 6 (as opposed to a second film, I think, at least at the moment). It's certainly a very rich world they've created in the film and I'm sure it would happily extend to a TV show. I'm intrigued to see what they do next, but either way I'm hoping for lots more from these characters/this world! :-)

This would be cool. Instead of adding all the detail and stuff to the characters, they could just make them flat. I'd still watch as long as they kept their voices and sense of quirky humor.

I kinda wish that the tame collar idea did end up happening. It would be interesting and if Disney decides to make a second Zootopia, I hope they might take that idea into consideration in same shape or form.

This movie taught us that drugs are causing bad effects, also I don't see the night howlers as that much of a 'drug' more like toxic flowers..Abuse? Again, many kids movies have that, not a problem, also it's not much so yeah...Racial Discrimination? This movie taught us racial discrimination is bad, also i assume you it's not a problem for kids... as a matter of fact I'm not even sure if kids even understands such things However, talking about freakin *shock collars* would scared and freaked out many kids, seriously every predators gets zapped everytime they got too emotional, kids hearing them scream in pain, and their sorrow...now that's what i call *abuse and racial discrimination* in that version of the movie, the predators are basically tortured, treated like a monster, and they will never be free, and that is just too dark for kids, also because of the collars, like what the director said, it makes us hate Zootopia, when Zootopia is supposed to be a lovely city where all animals live in harmony..In that version of Zootopia, the story is dark, scary and sad...

Loved seeing these! Mayor Swinton was is the movie too, in the DMV office scene getting her picture taken :D

After the movie Zootopia came out and everyone in my group of friends saw it, we began to assign everyone to different characters in the movie. (For example, I'm Benjamin Clawhauser because of my playful and fun demeanor, my love of food, and my tendency to fangirl over everything). I would have loved to see Honey the Honey Badger in the movie because she almost exactly matches one of my best friends, a girl who is tough and difficult to approach when you first meet her. She has a secret love of anything conspiracy related, so it would've been fun to start calling her Honey all the time.

I LOVE the shock collar idea. It really brings realism to the movie.

I like Morris with the Shock Collar. The scene is also heartbreaking when he gets shocked. They should make a prequel to this when society decided not to use shock collar anymore. If Morris joined with the mafia in Zootopia, then they probably still use Shock Collar in secret to interrogate/torture the suspect.

Out of all the deleted characters, I really wish they put Morris in a short scene in the film. I think it could've added a lot more depth to the predator's part of it, but since they scrapped the shock collar idea entirely, it wouldn't have made much sense.

Mayor Swinton made it in the final movie, but as a pig getting a picture in the DMV with sloths scene.

I think they could've kept the Old Goat in there as a 2-second gag in the middle of Judy's meter-maiding scene. Instead of one of the cars getting tagged, they could've just swapped it for the quick "You can do it, and in 50 years have my job" and Judy sighs, then carry on maiding.

In the original concepts with Swinton and the Razorbacks (which I thought was an Australian term?) I find it interesting in which it would have antagonists that are neither predator nor prey yet kinda both, as pigs are highly aggressive omnivores that are both predators for small animals and prey for larger ones.

You know, Wolford seems to be quite intelligent and clever, probably even more so than his fellow officers. If you pause at 2:45, you'll see that Snarlof (Polar Bear) and Higgins (Hippo) are simply wearing one single article of clothing and may be trying to pass them off as clever disguises, while Wolford actually disguises himself as a sheep, and not just putting on a mask, I mean putting on an authentic full-body sheep suit, with clothes and everything. I also read on TV tropes that someone called it 'disturbingly convincing', which means it may have working facial features. I mean, Higgins put on a fake mustache, Snarlof put on a green baseball cap, and Wolford put on a FULL-BODY SHEEP SUIT! For crying out loud, Snarlof and Higgins didn't even bother to change their uniforms! They've got to be the worst undercover cops on the Furce! Anyway, I would definitely say that Wolford is the most intelligent officer in Precinct 1, even more so than Nick and Judy combined (I still respect Nick and Judy, and their fans). I'm even hoping that if there's ever a Zootopia tv series, then Wolford's a main character (an ascended extra, if you will), with the voice of Joel McHale. What do you guys think?

The pig was seen when hoops was making a speech about when she discovers the 14 missing animals when they showed the crowed u would see the exact same face and everything then see here look away from the camera and write something down

Swinton does appear as a background character btw, she tried to get a passport picture taken by one of the sloths

I would have loved for that old goat to appear. It would have been funny XD especially seeing Judy's reaction to what she said to her.

I think it's for the best that each of these didn't make it into the movie. BUT! If Disney decides to commission an official Zootopia comic series- and I'll be honest, I'd readily purchase and read at least the first few issues thereof- these characters would be awesome for additional arcs, I think. I mean, Judy Hopps is a cop. She's got to have a lot more cases to solve than just the one we got to see in the movie. I'd love to have a chance to see more of her ventures. It'd give these characters, and even many of those who made it into the final film, a chance to appear, reveal more of their personalities, and shine. If nothing else, a caper with Mayor Swinton and a case involving Wooly would be awesome. They both look bad@$$.

Nick is in my favorite characters of all time list. Not just movies, shows and video games too.

The pig was a reporter in the interview scene after Judy found all 14 animals.

I am happy they canged the concept of tame collar. Whould have been a way darker movie about keeping everyone in cheak by pointing a gun at them. I mean sure they could make a story were they show that´s wrong but I don´t know how they whould have done it at the end.

Judy is my favourite character.... She is so optimistic and kindhearted, but is also unexpectedly sneaky when she has to be, plus I love rabbits in general

i saw the same pig (almost the same) in the sloth scene with different clothes. getting the picture from the sloth holding a lever with a button.

I would have actually liked to see what the movie looked like with all of the original ideas in it

the last one u know the pig was really seen in the movie when judy and nick go to see flash you can and will be able to see the pig getting her license picture taken.

mayor squinton was actually not entirely scrapped, in the scene in the bank with the sloths there is a pig who is getting her photo taken, she looks a lot like mayor squinton

Mayor Swinton can be found as a cop in the end credits of zootopia.

The last character is in the movie as a police officer and is standing next to the tv in the last part of the movie and by that I mean the credit.

Problem with some of this is, pigs (particularly wild boars) are fierce predators in their natural biomes and will often hunt smaller animals.

if you pay close attention to the last cut character in this video she actually was in the movie Chicken Little. So I think that Zootopia is an indirect sequel to Chicken Little.

Mable appeared in the Movie in Theaters but not in the movie when on DVD. I was quite disappointed about that. Especially since i watched the theater one and the DVD one a day apart.

Honestly, I think Mayor Swinton would've been a WAY better villain than Mwahahahahahaha-bellweather over here.
