Zooming in on Messier 57, the Ring Nebula
This video zooms in on planetary nebula Messier 57, known as the Ring Nebula. The sequence begins with a view of the night sky near the constellation of Lyra. It then zooms through observations from the Digitized Sky Survey 2, and ends with a view of the nebula obtained by Hubble.
The data of the region surrounding the Ring Nebula's central region are provided by the Large Binocular Telescope Observatory.

Awesome! Thank you! This helped me positively identify M57 with just binoculars for the first time!

What magnification of binoculars do you have?
Beautiful 😻
fun fact: IC 1296 may be close to M57, but its far. It's just the view that makes it close.
What a View!

so awesome!! best nebula in the galaxy !!
Just picked up the Celestron 114EQ, this is first on my watch list. :)
Much too cloudy over the past few days and not expecting to clear up soon. Hopefully soon. :) Any other recommendations for a gazer in the mid-latitudes of the northern hemisphere to check out?
NASA’s APOD 2018-07-15 _(»Rings Around the Ring Nebula«)_ sent me here. Cheers!
Absolutely beautiful 😍
Cant find a name for that spiral galaxy close to and above M57. It's not an NGC or an IC, so too faint for that.
WOW
I have spotted it just 15 minutes ago.
