Thanks Steve! This is exactly what I was looking for, teaching music online and meetings with Zoom. Have a great day. G
Very well explained, clear and useful. I like the way you show on the screen where everything is. Thanks so much.
Thank you so much!! Your original sound instruction for the piano teachers works for our fitness room when we play music on our stereo. You saved our virtual lives!!!!! I cannot thank you enough!!!!
I have been looking everywhere (people and online) to figure out how to solve this issue. THANK YOU SO, SO MUCH! You made my summer school English students and me so happy. :)

Thanks Steve. I have been trying to figure out how to make this work for months without having to buy any fancy or complicated equipment. This was perfect. Much Appreciated!
Thank you SO much Steve for sharing your knowledge - you totally helped me out - I'm Very Grateful 🙏
After too many researches, thank you soooooo much!
Thanks so much for this video Steve. It has helped our school's teachers tremendously for playing audio to students in Zoom meetings!!
Super presentation once again and exactly what I needed to learn. Thank you Steve.. Happy to spread the word about your fine work.
I was searching long time for zoom and music! Your video have helped me very much! Thank you very much!!!!!
Thanks Steve, loving this series pal. I have a Blue Yeti that I put through Audio Hijack and Loopback. Both are fantastic programs and very affordable. My old Sony A5100 mirrorless and a CamLink gives me a great video output. I had forgotten that audio is just as important as video. This video just reminded me how important audio is, even with broad Scottish accent, lol. Thanks again for this great series. Stay safe pal...⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you, just what I need! ....from a music teacher :) Steve, your videos are lifesavers!
I'm a language professor, I was looking for info about how to include dialogues in my zoom classes without having to go through the computer speakers and then back to the mic ( = bad). You saved my life! :D
Thank you for the info! Was asked to assist my classmates because meetings can get complicated and out of hand when several senior high students go live haha! Very useful. Wherever you are I hope you're having a lovely day.
Very very helpful - thank you. I have been delivering fitness classes for 100 days now in my home studio. This is the best Zoom audio I have seen. I am still keen to improve my setup so will go through your videos.
this was amazing! Finally!! So thankful I found you!

Great information! Thank you!
I've subscribed and liked your videos. Pure value and insparation you've put in it. I really appreciate all your effort and time
I found a couple more things to do with the original sound. I changed the setting, but it was still a little choppy. When I went into the meeting, I clicked on more and then had to click enable original sound in the meeting and then had to mute all participants. It was perfect!!! Thank you so much!! We did not even need a mic or anything. The samsung tablet picked up the stereo sound and the instructor voice clearly. Hallelujah!!!
Looking forward to learning more and more Mr. Dotto...You my MAN!

Thank you Steve for another information packed Tutorial! I can't wait to implement this. I am not a music teacher, but all of a sudden when I am on Zoom meetings I can hear everybody else, but they cannot hear me! I have adjusted all my audio settings to no avail. Very frustrating. Thanks again! Keep the info coming!

My daughter's competitive volleyball team has continued to have conditioning / strengthening workouts as well as practices via Zoom once daily since this Covid-19 situation came into being and it's been working nicely in keeping the girls active/motivated and accountable for when the remainder of their season *hopefully* is able to finish-out in a few months.

This is AWESOME! Thank you.
Well done! Here's why. I am a professional educator who is too often frustrated by YT videos that do not honor the "Title" given them by the maker. For example, "How to stream audio through your Rodecaster pro into Zoom." Since I'm looking for this, I select and watch a 10-minute video with that title. At precisely 6:45 in the 10-minutes, a 32-second statement is made telling the Viewer, "...and you can listen to music by plugging your iOs device into this port..." End of instruction. Really? Well, what I'm saying here is "Dottotech" seems to have figured out all we want is to learn how to do exactly what he says he is going to do. THANK YOU! If there were more like you, I'd waste far less time slogging through needless and often pointless banter while trying to get to the point. Again, THANK YOU! Thank you for mastering the art and science of presentation.

Thank you so much. I spent a whole week asking different people (including professionals) how to set up ZOOM Live Fitness Classes including music with quite a good audio quality and nobody could help. And you just gave me the solution in 8 minutes. Fabulous, thank you so much. Your explanation is great, sharing all the important details, so I could successfully do it myself.

This is, by far, the best instruction I've seen on using Zoom in this way. I teach guitar via Zoom and have been struggling to get consistently good audio. I've watched every video and read every article I could find and none of them touched on some the subjects you mentioned. I'm going to give this a try and see if it helps. In case you're interested, my audio chain is: Guitar > Fractal Audio Axe-FX > Mac Mini via USB Mic>audient iD14 interface > Mac Mini via USB Both of these signals go to my DAW (Logic Pro X) and are routed from Logic to Zoom via "Loopback". I prefer to use my studio monitors instead of headphones to monitor my student's Zoom as well as my audio. I use a dual-camera setup: Logitech Webcam > Mac Mini via USB Panasonic Lumix G85 > Cam Link 4k > Mac Mini I route and control these via Ecamm Live. I would prefer to use something else to avoid the subscription fee but I'm not aware of anything that allows me tp select "Virtual Camera" with the Lumix.
Awsum! Thank you. I bought a mixing table notepad5 to manage multiple sound entries but this did nt work for me. I will try the screen sharing tip for my next yoga class.
very usefull thank you

Thank you so much for your high quality video. I really appreciate that. And I really appreciate the information. I teach yoga, Tai Chi, and Qigong all on Zoom now. This has been something I have been trying to fine tune since the beginning. I will try the screen share method tomorrow and see how it works for my yoga class music. I have a blue snowball mic for my voice. I played around and did some test runs tonight. Very excited!!! I will definitely recommend you videos!

@@dottotech I might have a question for you about earbuds. I'm wondering if I can use my wireless earbuds as my mic and then I would hear my students then I would use the screen share to play the music for them.
Valuable ? this is SUPER !!!
I fucking love you for this one, man! Thank you so much!
Love your videos! So helpful!! THANK YOU for making them! Can you explain how to share your screen with visual and audio (like if you were going to play a video), and still be able to talk/comment over the video? Do you need to have two hosts? One for screen sharing with computer audio, and the other to talk on the mic?
Steve - I can't tell you how much I learn by watching your videos! Have you ever done anything on Screenflow? I'm a longtime user but suspect I am only scratching the surface.
Thank you! You have helped me- thank you so much Steve! I am learning how to use zoom to teach guitar, ukulele and beginning piano. Can the music that a participant hears be from a track I have on my computer using the player win amp or does the track have to be from spotify etc? I want to be able to play my instrument with a track and for a student to hear the instrument, track and my voice, speak, sing and be seen playing. Is this possible? Is there anything I can do to for my student to play with me and for us both to be in sync?
I'd like to see you do a series on different microphones you can use for Zoom and different circumstances. Sitting at a desk is easy - moving around and you start to need different types of microphones.

One option I've used is a smartphone + earbuds for better audio when 3+ feet away from the camera. You join the meeting twice: once by computer and once by phone. You need to *leave* audio on the computer to prevent echo, Or bluetooth earbuds connected to the computer that will stay connected at whatever distance the yoga, dance, pilates class is.
This video is really helpful I wished it was the same for PC
Thanks for another great video Steve. I’ve been trying to figure out how to have a virtual choir practice using Zoom or similar . Problem at the minute is how to allow more than one person to have the “audio focus” at the same time so that the choir can sing along at the same time?
Your Yeti issue can be easily resolved by changing settings for audio input and output within Zoom (assuming your Yeti works fine otherwise. If not, check your settings under DEVICE MANAGER in Windows.
This gives life to my class. Lol
This is brilliant. You, sir, have been a Godsend these past few weeks. We've encountered a different issue in that when we share audio via the computer, the participants can hear it, but the host now can't. We can still hear the participants when they speak, but the audio being shared isn't coming through to us. Any idea what's gone pear-shaped here? 😕

1) Open your playlist and tap the More (three-dot icon) button on the top right. 2) Select Share. 3) Choose your sharing option.
it'd be nice to make a similar video on how to optimise Zoom for videographers in terms of video quality
Last question: If i use a webcam connected via DroiDWebCam ,the share audio function being a host the music from laptop and the microphone sounds should be synchronized with video, right? Shortly, how the data s are transferred from host to clients? A total package video+audio+microphone? Or separately? THXXX!!!
Always great information, Steve. Question: What software interface are you using when you share your screen? Your face is in a circle frame, too. Thanks again for your tips and techniques on Zoom.

Awesome. I'm a DJ and going to DJ some music for a friend's Zoom birthday party and I think screen sharing you talked will give us the option we were looking for. Awesome videos. Actually, do you have suggestions for using external sounds, say from a mixer in a Zoom meeting? I've seen a few nightclubs using Zoom.
hi there...this was great thank you. How can i share music and my screen at the same time on a zoom meeting. For a fitness class.
I'm looking into ways to do live concerts. Would the settings you spoke of toward the end of your video, playback in stereo? I've got a stereo feed from my mixer with backing tracks, live mic and live piano going into my iPhone 10. Thanks.
Hi Steve, thank you! Quick question- For the fitness set-up do I have to have an external microphone picking up sound or could I still just use my computer speakers?
Hi Steve, thank you for your sharing. May I check with you how about sharing music in Zoom on mobile? I am teaching yoga with my mobile, not computer. Thanks a lot !
Hi Steve, thank you for the video it has been super helpful. Quick Q: from a fitness instructor perspective, I understand sharing sound is the better option; does this mean you don't need to adjust any of the audio settings that you would if you were teaching music, so just leaving it on the auto settings or would you still select original sound?
Excellent instructions. I made it work on my new Lenovo X1. Tried to help my exercise instructor who uses a Mac Air and had this problem...When she pressed Share Screen the instructions were entirely different than those on my PC. Would you be able to direct me to a source for Mac users, please? Thank you.
Hello Steve great videos! Do you know of anyone doing a DJ set on Zoom and what did it sound like? What would be the pros & cons.?

Thank you for all the great information. I love your videos. Very clear. I have a question. I’m looking for a way to have a rehearsal/jam with a few other musician friends. Most facetime type apps don’t work because the music from one participant to another lags. Is it possible to accomplish this in zoom?
I am so glad I found you! Some of my students say they do not see the original sound option. Why is that? I have enabled it. Also, do students need to enable OS each time they use zoom?
Thank you for this video. I teach yoga on zoom through my iPhone. If I was to teach via my computer great sound but the camera is inferior and set up not great. So I use my phone. I have enabled the sound on my iPhone but the sound is still a bit hazy - not 100% any other suggestions via the phone? Many thanks Jo
Excellent info provided hereby. One question, Steve, what if I want to perform from my digital piano thru Zoom for my partners in the meeting? How do I get the sound from the piano R & L output in the MacBook so as to broadcast in Zoom? thank you in advance for any info or feedback you may provide me with. Cheers.
Hi there Steve, you are such a great instructor; clear and easy to follow. Just wondering what I'm doing wrong???? After following all your instructions (I'm a fitness instructor using a SHIDU M800 PA System with the wireless mic and using Zoom), my music using the Power Media Player on my HP Laptop cuts in and out. Do you have any suggestions?
Please help me to understand how to provide Stereo sound to the multiple member conference, where Left will be original English, and Right will be simultaneous translation. So, that conference participants can choose speaker voice or translator voice, or one more choice with Stereo, where both are in Right and Left ears.
Thank you very much for these tips. I have a question about the SHARING AUDIO option. Does MEDIA player work as well as spodify or itunes ? Thanks!
Great video!!! Thanks. Really thorough! What app are you making your vids in showing what your zipping around the screen, highlighting things you're showing on your computer as you talk? And what mic do you use? x
Thank you so much for this! I am still having trouble getting my airpods to work though. They are connected to my macbook pro, and I tried all your settings playing music with itunes and sharing the computer sound, which makes the music sound great on the other end, but you can't hear me talking at all.
