It's sad that the government has so much control over "private" property in a "free" country.

I have the most non feminine fantasies but i have no clue how to even operate those fantasies. Why am i like this? How conveniently cool would it be to have a small garage shop out of the side of your house? Like i know sh about mechanics.

The most appealing cities in the world were established before zoning laws. The features of those cities that are the most appealing are illegal under most current zoning systems in the U.S. Our current zoning laws promote the single family dwelling and the use of automobiles. Higher densities and easier pedestrian access are regulated out of the equation today. You will have both a mortgage, and a car payment, if you don't happen to live in the core of one of America's older cities. The restrictions on liberty in a country that sings about freedom in its most cherished songs, is tragically ironic. Almost every aspect of your life is regulated, and the idea of freedom is as fake as the Wizard of Oz. Just keep in mind that you have given up your freedom to be safe, to be protected by the government. Do you feel safe? Give up even more of your freedom, and you'll see that you still won't be safe. The more freedom you give away, the harder it is to get it back.

It's sad we're the only ones that have a majority in their nation that are sheep to the American government..

I learned nothing. I was hoping to learn types of zones, restrictions and limitations. More specifically can a home be built on an A1 agriculture. Or a single family home on a RPUD Zone

While I agree that some intensification is warranted , the city is using this mantra way too often . There are many neighborhoods that can’t support the parking and traffic problems that will inevitably come from this change in zoning. The city needs to address these issues by either requiring on-site parking or discouraging vehicles by requiring street parking permits.
