Conceptually, this reminded me a lot of some of the music Tech N9ne/Strange Music does. The way you pointed out dialing back on wordplay or this or that for the sake of doing the cool idea. I’ve seen that a lot with SM, they chill on the double time flows and crazy alliteration to tell creepy stories or relate some personal trauma. If I could see one UK/US link up it would be Zone 2 and Strange Music. Imagine Tech and Krizz Kaliko on a track with Kweng, PS, Trizzac, Karma. One of those 6+ minute line-up ones.
