Zoë Kravitz On Playing Catwoman, Working With Robert Pattinson, & Mental Health | GLAMOUR UK
Ойын-сауық
Zoë Kravitz returns to our screens this week, as Catwoman (AKA Selina Kyle) in Matt Reeves's The Batman, alongside Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader. After earning critical acclaim for her role in HBO's Big Little Lies alongside Oscar-winners Reese Witherspoon, Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman and Laura Dern - as well as starring in, exec-producing and co-writing 2020's High Fidelity and preparing to shoot her directorial debut Pussy Island this summer - you'd think Zoë would be blissfully unfazed by this whole ‘fame’ thing. Besides, when your parents are Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, it's just part of the territory, right? Wrong. “Stepping into this role was really, really scary,” Zoë tells me. “It's still wild. It's one of those things that I never even considered could happen. Even getting the call to meet with Matt and audition; that was surreal by itself. I think it's something I'm still kind of going through. And it's rare to be a part of a film where the making of the film is just as intense as coming out of the of the film. So I'm still kind of in disbelief.”

Her walk and mannerisms in this movie are perfect! Subtle, but VERY catwoman.

I don’t think she’s getting a spin off just yet honestly because they want to develop her character more in the second movie

She is not getting a spin off I think the direction she lead was very grounded definitely better than Anne Hathaway nothing against good Ole Anne but I can say Michelle Phifer is the best in my opinion

Zoe absolutely rocked this role, which is not easy considering how many have done it before.

Deserving to take up space! Yes. That hit deep.
she has a beautiful soul
The way she explains things, you can see that Zoë is very honest person. She is just so authentic. Such an inspiration 🖤
I really really like her Catwoman, she has become in my favourite one, her representation and her relationship with Batman its very close to the Batman: Hush comic, that´s why I really like the work that everybody has done in this movie with these characters
Love her portrayal of selina

HER MIND!!!! She understands what a well-written female character is. Brie Larson could literally never
her cheekbones :(

Did someone mention having a thing for strays?!? But she looks like the type that can't stop talking, I got enough of those already ❤️
Beauty means being who you are.... when you literally have changed all of your features with surgeries 😮😢
She was not a good Selina Kyle. Catwoman was written terribly in this movie. That's not necessarily her fault it's all director, writing & casting. She was not physically powerful or powerful at all in this movie. Batman treated Catwoman like a child in this movie. There was no respect for her boundaries and she didn't even stick up for herself she always succumb to the men around her especially physically. There was not one physical scene where she didn't eventually need Batman. The director chose to make Catwoman small, weak and needy in this film. That said she was unbelievably beautiful & sexy in this film her aesthetics were astonishing. But that right there is the problem with men writing female superheroes. Men typically focus on the sexiness over the physical power which is boring and terrible. Women and girls their whole life are inundated with image after image of sexy woman. It would be nice to see a woman who was actually physically powerful, they way Catwoman is typically represented. The physical power of Catwoman should be just as present & just as obvious as her sexiness.
Geez. Imagine being the child of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, and yet coming out looking like that; donkey teeth and all. Oh well, at least her parents were able to hand her a career, even despite her patent lack of talent. Other people work for decades for what you were handed; stop complaining.
Woke woman. 🙄🤦

Beyond the fillers...this gal amongst many other celebrities now (Ariana Grande, Bella Hadid) have also obviously had face lifts, called "pony tail lifts". Remember that young girls look up to these women for the beauty standards they are setting, which are increasingly more and more unrealistic. They are also, obviously, being taking advantage of by a beauty industry that capitalizes on creating insecurities where there shouldn't be any -- all of these women were beautiful before. It's pretty awful that face lifts are now being suggested to and conducted upon women in their twenties and early thirties -- we're talking about majorly altering the dimensions and features of your face, forever, when you don't even yet have any noticeable signs of aging.

@@42opendoors Yeah I agree with that. I will never understand why they get surgery or stuff done at a young age or when they already look great. It is what it is I guess
