@@zoomgallygally Ugate puts in more tackles and interceptions then 99% of CM in Europe. Has very little ball playing ability, low in terms of passing accuracy, progressive passes, progressive carries, changes created etc. he’s basically a more mobile CB playing in the 6 position

Zirkzee is an exciting player who can play on multiple position but its hard to know how he will adapt to Premier League. Manuel Ugarte on the other hand is a player that I really like. He is that type of player that Man United sorely lacking

I have serious doubts about Zirkzee. We can’t have two strikers that are young and still learning their craft. Zirkzee is giving me Van Dee Beek vibes…..I don’t see his game translating to the premier league. We have actually not solved a problem simply created another one with this move

Mark is correct to say there are some fans who expect and even demand instant gratification when often we need patience with Hojlund and even Antony because they are young and are still developing. In the same breadth this also applies to Garnacho and Mainoo as we dont want to over play them or they risk burn out.

Something to take into account is that he’s likely on a decently small contract and it’s debatable if Barca will be able to pay the wage he’ll likely command when renewal time comes around, which is in 2026 I believe. If they feel there’s a chance he’ll leave for free then, they’ll sell.

We have a good relation with psg why not swapping sancho for ugarte. Psg is looking for a winger and we are looking for a midfielder.

On Shaw, he should NOT be taking a holiday. If he has any bits of professionalism, I would expect him to show up for pre season. Maybe a week of holiday at max, but any more and that's very unfair from him towards the club (given he should never have gone to the euros anyway).

Nico Williams has a 50m release clause, if we don’t activate that then Ineos are no better then the glazers. We could sell Rashford, Sancho and Greenwood and have Williams and Olise on both wings for the next ten years.

Zirkzee looks promising but we really seem to struggle to make signings other teams would simply get if they could afford it. Hopefully that will change after Ashworth comes in properly and over the next couple of seasons our reputation improves again.

You are right, one reason is because united is just a massive club. When Arsenal goes for a player who is worth 20mil, they end up getting the player for a least 30mil. But best believe when united goes for the same player the worth will skyrocket to like 60mil. The issue is that our media propaganda is way too much. We reveal to the whole world that we are needy people, who needs players in different positions that are key for us.
