Wish I could've been there participating with you both using my deep feral build. But with not hearing about the tourney until 2 days in I had to still deal with full shifts at work and with the lack of sleep, I died at 52 and then 59 right before qualifying time. 😅 My first memory of Peaceblade was one night on the Skyfury server not many people were online and we were just RP walking around in Dalaran in our classic marshal PvP gear. Didn't know he was a streamer at the time though. Was awesome to see you play so well on a hunter knowing you were a Pally main. @PeaceBladeTV

Rogue v Mage is sadly always like this. Mage pretty much has to make a blunder for the rogue to have a chance. Otherwise the rotation of CDs always favors the mage. Ziqqo is just too good to make those mistakes.

@@DivineBanana I would say Ziqo is more used to latency in classic compare to Pshero but details, having latency as a mage is not as bad as latency as a rogue, since if your muscle memory make you fail to vanish a sheep because of Latency its over, a single mistake and you are done as a rogue Vs a good mage, the mage can fuck up few times and not feel it.

That mid-duel ignore was the biggest flex 😂GG!

NGL watching Z duel Ps... was pretty cool... both VERY high skillcap players and it was fkin cool to see... the streamers don't duel each other often bc then it turns into "so and so is better" but this Mak'Gora tournament is gonna be awesome. PLUS... z is a legend... HOWEVER.... i'm going to miss Z commentating on the duels when he's in the tournament ROFL

Ziqo, I've got a question, mate. Why don't you cast max rank fireball into r1 frostbolt on a full sheep instead of opening with just max fb? I've never seen mages do it nowadays and it's really strange because I used to use it always when I believed the rogue had vanish. Fireball dmg is as good as frostbolt's as a frost mage, and the 1 sec delay in slow application is worth it if your fireball dot breaks vanish. For example, if you opened fireball at 4:00 you wouldn't have had to rely on r1 bliz hitting the target. On 1:17 a fireball opener would have stopped the crippling poison application. It's weird to me because iirc it was a very standard thing to do back in original vanilla, and I still don't see a downside unless people have calculated that there is a significant disadvantage to that 1 sec delay for the slow - I can see one in cases where for example a fap can be used when a fireball is coming to completely negate the root, and that might be significant, but I do think that this can also be counted in the calculation (so use fireball when vanish not on CD but fap on cd for example). Aside from that, great duels, man, you're my favourite player in this tournament and I hope you win this!

The rules state that he has to re open within one min even if he gets the vanish off. In the open world a rogue can afk in stealth forever so it’s more important. The duel is about surviving the CDs, if you’re full HP and the rogue gets restealth it’s in the Mages favour. Getting a clean rocket helm (for a full reset) is much more important than preventing vanish with fireball. You saw Pshero VS Mes? He couldn’t blind/dust/helm because he used rupture and he ended up dying. Need to be very careful with dots when those consumes are allowed, they win you the duel when used right. And as someone else mentioned: greater fire prot pot, requires a lot of mana to break both shields.

I used to be one of these pvp leaders. og. Dark spear pvp server. Epic .. the pvp groups and working way through 2 and 3s arena and recognizing top players realizing your in the glory age of wow PvP 20 years later

Feels like Rogues are less dominant in this format than in other Classic dueling scenarios. The full consumable stacks really spike durability and make it easier to bleed their timers without getting exploded.

If two players duel and are playing different classes, given that their skill is more or less equal it is often decided who will win beforehand. Not always though, you might get lucky with crits and resists. My guess is that in the end duels there will only be warlocks, priests, and mages left.

Ziqo literally explained how the vanish wouldn’t have ended the duel 😂 this duel had full consumables ziqo was not dying to one stun lock, all rogues struggled in this tourney because people were too tanky etc
