Foreal bro, im a big basketball fan. I want to see what he can really do for the game, would he change it like Jordan, Lebron, Curry, Kobe Ext not particular way in that Order. If he plays Bully ball he can be the best scorer ever if he wanted too but ofcourse on a mediocre team, on his first year in the NBA i would like see if he can average 29pts like Jordan did on his rookie year.

crazychop True, but if we are being honest early in MJs Career he went right A LOT! Shoot I seen games against Boston where MJ only used a right handed in and out dribble move all game long. Yes he could finish with either hand, but at the same age I think Zion is right on par. Not to say he will end up being any where near MJ.

Anyone who is comparing Zion to LeBron just because he's 270 pounds, 6'7 and can dunk the ball well, probably hasn't seen anything but highlights. Zion firstly doesn't have the playmaking ability that LeBron did at that age (which is possibly the biggest part of his game), secondly He isn't as fast as LeBron was, thirdly he can't handle the ball like LeBron could and finally he doesn't possess the IQ players like LeBron, magic and nash had from the start. However Lebron at his age didn't have the polished jumper zion seems to have, wasn't nearly as strong as zion is now and even though LeBron rebounded well for a 2/3, in his early years he didn't rebound the ball at the level zion does. Saying zion isn't the second coming of LeBron isn't a dig at him though, I just see it as even though he and LeBron have a few similarities in terms of athletism, really they're two completely different players because a massive component in LeBron's game isn't present in Zions. A realistic comparison in terms of actual game for Zion is current Blake Griffin; he can shoot, jump out of the gym, rebound, handle the ball very well for a guy his size and can run the 3 to the 5 in the modern NBA. Whereas Lebron's closest comparison is Ben Simmons; Generational IQ, good ball control, dunks the ball, plays defence, strong post game and can run from the 1 to the 5. (I am in no way saying that Zion will turn out at the same level as Blake Griffin or that ben Simmons will be just as good as LeBron, I am just giving the actual best comparisons in terms of skill set and their arsenals).

tonedog77 Aye bro I definitely agree with what your saying, And even on the points where we disagree It doesn’t really matter because I feel like Zion will be a hall of famer either way. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a player so dominant, you really can’t teach his size. But to me what makes him so special is his willingness to learn the things that can be taught such as the jumper that was questioned by scouts, He’s clearly been working hard on actually improving his game as he’s mature enough to realise his athleticism and size can only take him so far.

  • @rjv5509

Well said. Lebron's playmaking ability, IQ, ball handing, and leadership at 18 is what sets him apart from Zion.

RJ Viloria thanks man. And yeah definitely, lebrons playmaking ability is arguably the best we’ve ever seen, But apart from generational talents such as Simmons and lebron as a forward you shouldn’t require that type of playmaking skill, so I don’t believe it’s a huge thing Zion NEEDS to add to his game but when being compared to lebron it has to be mentioned. This is why I don’t like comparing these kids to hall of famers as for some people it sets an un achievable and unrealistic standard when players like lebron don’t come around every day. I say just let the kids enjoy and work on their game, there will be enough time for scrutiny and comparisons when they actually get to a level where it’s fair game.

RJ Viloria thank god someone out here know what they talking about. People forget how great lebron is and the total package he bring. Zion is great but he's no where near lebron. I don't know what hell wrong with people nowadays comparing legends to kids.
