Zinder, in Niger, is a city of passage in the heart of the Sahel. Kara-Kara is one of its marginalized neighbourhoods, historically home to lepers and outcasts. Young people there have formed gangs feared by the population, the “Palaces”, some of whose members cross the threshold of criminality, with the prospect of prison or death, while others are working to get out of the rut. This is the case of Siniya, Bawo and Ramsess, whose survival strategy the director, herself a daughter of Zinder, has chosen to film. They open their world and tell her their story, that of idle youth in search of dignity.

Ce film est vraiment émouvant car il reflète la réalité de certains enfants qui s'adonnent aux mauvaises pratiques comme la délinquance juvénile, la prise des produits stupéfiants, vol etc. Les causes de ces pratiques sont entre autres: le manque d'emploi, l'influence de la société, l'irresponsabilité de certains parents dans l'éducation de leurs enfants, la cherté de vie etc. Ces derniers peuvent avoir pour conséquence: le meurtre, le viole, le banditisme,l à dépravation de nos valeurs ancestrales, le vagabondage etc. Pour remédier à ces grands fléau l'État doit créer des centres de formation des mains d'oeuvres, l'accessibilité aux besoins vitaux, sensibilisation de la population à travers des films, des séries, des agents de terrain...
