This bass is killer! I got to try one out today, soooo smooth like butter!

I've had this bass for a little over a year now and really like it. I had a custom-cut bone nut installed and have had D'Addario Chrome flats(0.045 - 0.100) on it since the beginning. It especially sounds and feels good with the neck relief and action set considerably below spec, very fast and smooth on the left hand.

This is the most interesting thunderbird they’ve made in awhile different style pickups and bridge

Oh man, I've been searching KZread and all over the internet for over a year looking for someone to demonstrate the 2015 Thunderbird. Thank you so much for posting this! I don't know if it's the hype of the built up anticipation or just the fact that it really sounds great, but I like. Nice coil tapping feature. I have 3 Thunderbirds as it is so I don't know if I'll be buying this one anytime soon. Especially with Gibson's crazy price surge.

Is the coil tap switch the only new feature in the 15s? Or are the pickups different.. Because I recognized that the pickups changed... I'm in the market for one and I'm trying to figure out if the extra money is worth it

+dakota plake the main thing isn't even the price. A forum I go to with die hard TBird fans, guys with models from 60s and newer ones seem to all hate this one for some reason. Supposedly it doesn't feel like a TBird anymore

+Leiria65 that's a shame I've honestly been looking at getting the 2015 mia fender jaguar

I strung my TBird with Chrome flats when I got it and like the tone better than what I was getting with the rounds that it came with.

This bass sounds good but in all honesty, a Epiphone Classic Pro IV with some Nordstrand Big Splits would sound better to my ears. Just my two cents.

LCTuba89 If you want the deep sound of Mahogany, this is your go to. Warwicks are a totally different animal. I got one of these because the 2015 model is versatile for all the different types of songs my band covers.
