I like how the final scream is… a scream. The entire song is basically about the singer on the edge of a mental breakdown, having the final notes suddenly go out of tune really gives you a super uncomfortable feeling… which is what the song SHOULD give you at the end, since the singer still wants to die, almost even more intensely than at the start of the song.

I personally dislike it. I feel like some producers use vocaloid or utau because they want to have a cute voice sing a dark song. So having her go super off tune at the end makes it sound very awkward and it loses the charm of the original rin version.

MilkyyCreamii i believe what the person was trying to say was that the scream breaks the song away from the cutesy motif with a dark, so it doesn’t fit. They aren’t saying they don’t like that aesthetic, but just that the scream doesn’t fit within what they believe makes it cute

I totally agree with you, I also feel like it fits the song's ending more directly, having had a mental breakdown before the present. I'd even like say, I really find that inventive and creative on Tanjiro's part. I'm glad he's making things like this.

@@xloisx4603 chimera are single celled organisms thats made up from cells from two or more different things or creatures. basically they have two different sets of DNA making it two different creatures at once. i dont know if thats exactly it in tetos case, but she is 31 and 15.5 which would make her two different people. but thats just my conclusion ^^

teto has an extra voicebank with trilled r's and ending breaths! you can download it at her website. the r's can be a bit difficult to use, though. i can understand not knowing about it, tanjiro is one of the only people who uses it frequently! it's still a really fun add-on vb that can really add a lot to a teto song.

Deep-voice Teto has just given me a new lease on life, I didn't think I could love something this much, and you've gone and showed me that my love can go even further beyond. _Thank you._ This is absolutely and totally insane. Your covers are the best things to keep coming back to. I adore what you're doing, and I adore that it's with Teto. There are so few artists I know of that can come close to tuning their chosen voice and making it sound good, even with the popular ones, and it's even more impressive when it's a voice that's looked down on as not being quite as good as the rest. What I love about Tanjiro Taidana's work is the small details that makes his covers so much more amazing than the original. The small flutters of Teto's wings, the lyrics in different languages, the faint radio in the interlude, the way she whispers roshin yuukai... all these makes his covers so original and unique and you know that he put a LOT of effort in this. You are amazing and I thank you for sharing this art you made!

Well the song is about the singer wanting to kill themselves, I think an unsettling screech is a fitting end to a song where the singer is so overwhelmed they consider throwing themselves into a nuclear reactor bc they think the world is better off without them. That’s just how I see it ^^;

As someone who holds this song so close to myself because this song is literally how it feels when I'm having a mental breakdown, this cover is by far the BEST I've heard. As always, Teto is tuned to PERFECTION and makes the song even more emotional and heartbreaking to hear. _The SCREAM._ Oh my god. That's absolutely perfect for a song about having a mental breakdown.

Teto, please don't ever jump into the core or anything. Without you the world would be a lot less beautiful.

This gave me all sorts of tingles 💖💖💘💘💘 as a speaker of Japanese, I find the rolled r's (such as 2:30) to be a little odd, because I haven't ever heard R's pronounced like that in the language before. But the use of the multiple languages is REALLY cool. Really cool!!!! I love languages so much 💘 the placement of the Italian in there was awkward (like you should've added more of it than you did?)
