Yes I agree with you. Also when Halil bey told Zeynep harshly to stop crying and that he hated tears, it shows that Halil has lived a life mostly detached from his own inner feelings and emotions. Keeping his emotions and feelings inside and burying them might have been his way of dealing with grief, change, and loss (regarding his parents, their suffering, and their deaths) and getting through life but I believe his old way of dealing with his feelings and emotions is not going to work. Halil is going to be pushed outside his comfort zone the more he and Zeynep interact with one another. Also for too long his aunty has been a strong influence over him and she is the one that seems happy for Halil to stay bitter, angry, hateful. Zeynep and her family have lessons to learn about life (especially her mum and younger sister), but so does Halil.
