I might be late to the game, since I watched the show this year, but I still wanted to comment. First of all, I love your edits. I couldn’t agree more with you. I read some comments (I guess it was because the show was still going on), but honestly I almost got chills. Why are people trying to justify abuse, violence, toxicity in a relationship? There are so many things I want to say, excuse me for my long rant. 1. From the beginning of the show, it was seen that Mehdi had violence issues (from the first day of their marriage, or when he beaten hard his sister’s lover). Someone like him couldn’t think very rational, when facing a problem he firstly react with violence. And Zeynep pointed out from the beginning. 2. As Emine said, he liked Zeynep past, but admitting her present? The fact that she grew with a different mindset (where women aren’t told to dress in a certain way per se). I noticed how Mehdi was quite bothered by her way of dressing (remember the party at Nermin’s vacation house, or when she was going to work), but that was Zeynep’s style, she never hides it. But I guess the most bothering for him was when she started working. Yes, he helped her get back her job, but she kinda lose it in a first place because of him. And why people forget how Mujgan was continuously saying stuff to him (look how she dresses for work, look at which hour she returned home), which fed his anger slowly but surely, in results, he decided to chose what kind of career she should have. Again, Zeynep growing up didn’t learn that men should decided for your career (thanks Nermin mom). 3. I’m sorry but I didn’t see when Baris attempted to steal her from Mehdi at the beginning. He was always respectful towards her, acknowledging she is married, he even introduced himself to Mehdi, like you don’t do these things if you plan to sabotage a wedding, or… As you said, Mehdi should have trusted his wife more than anyone (he preferred to listen to his sister), and he was the one who destroyed his marriage honestly. 4. After divorce, Zeynep stated God knows how many times, that she wanted to distance herself from Mehdi, but he resolutely ignored what she was feeling, following her, moving next to her… 5. But what really fed me (because at the beginning I tried to understand Mehdi, and I even started to appreciate their relationship), is Mehdi obsessiveness and jealousy (smashing a company car, stating that no men should offer her a car, like wtf??), stealing her passport (thanks to the crazy Sakine), going through her phone (he had no rights!!!), kidnapping her!!!. But you thought that he would end here? No. Because notice, when he finally was released from jail, in his mob boss era, he was still parking in front of or behind her house (Nermin new one), watching from her window, wtf was he looking after her? Leave the girl alone for God’s sake. 6. Please, leave Baris alone, he isn’t the bad guy. The guy loved her so much, gave like 200% in the relationship when in return he got like 10%, but fortunately later she realized the value of their relationship, what a healthy and loving relationship looks like. I think I will stop here for now. PS: if you still want to justify Mehdi behavior, just watch how much Nuh (his longtime friend, who knows him better) was also fed up, was also reprimanding him. You can’t say that Nuh was being manipulated.

I realize that many viewers ignore the fact that Medhi was damaged goods chosen to be Zeynep's husband by her mom, Sakine, a bitter hateful woman. When he kidnapped her and wanted to run into a police barrier by car - she was afraid - she herself said she thought he would kill her - After she was rescued, she barricaded the her room so that Mehdi would not get to her in the night (even though he was already in prison) she had panic attacks after she learned that he had a weapon in the room ...and lot of more....and should She return to the man she was afraid of? I hope she will rather stay alone then with Mehdi - that's better options. My oppinion - just think about it. She regrets him and didn't want his family to suffer - she likes Kibrit so she wanted to help him - Zeynep is sometimes so compassionate that it borders on naivety.

@@jacks9672 She did that also, because her mother and Barish were feeding her stuff, he told her he had a gun, and it scared her, he is feeding her, and causing her to be more afraid, she knowes Mehdi, loves her, and said in the beginning hes hurting and confused, he would never do something bad, its the mother and Barish keep telling her, hes dangerous, he told her in the car how much he wants her and loves her, he never should of locked her up, I get that she was pissed, and wanted a divorce, but she never gave him a chance to explain why he smashed the car window, he was going to tell her, and knew he was wrong in doing it, but she put a restraining order on him, without talking to him, she never gave him a chance to explain, he has doubts about her with Barish, and knows this guy is loving on his woman, so of course he is going to be jealous, they both need therapy as far as I am concerned, but I dont think Barish will ever love her like Mehti

@@anitamike7619 He had a lot of opportunity to tell her this things after his sister's funeral when Zeynep supported him but he didn't. But I relly felt the scary feeling - from moment in the car when he kidneped her he was ready to die togetre with Zeynep only becouse that she dindn´t want to stay with him. If i was in Zeynep place i could forgive him but I couldn´t be with him in love anymore becouse you can be only with person who You trust and he must trust You too (Mehdi didn´t trust Zeynep at all- that was the reason why this all stuff happened) In the end Zeynep could be in same place like sister of Mehdi- To die becouse of love and thats horrible - becouse this is only series but this things hapens in real life too and women very offten can´t leave their obsessed husband and the end is very bad- unfortunetly.

@@jacks9672 I understand that, but look at all the good he did, and not just the things he did out of his jealousy, he helped her father several times, he sent the graduation to help her get her job back, he adopted his daughter, there were too manythings interfering with their marraige, the 1st was her mothers, 2nd was his sister, 3rd was his low self esteem, after tthey made him feel like he was not good enough for her, he saw that Barash, was trying to take her away from him, and he got scared, yes it wasn't right, that he locked her in the house, and he admited that to her, and when he kidnapped her, he told her he would never harm her, he just let his low self esteem get to him, thats why he sold his business, he bought the house near her, because he wanted to make sure she was safe, too many people came between them, even the pregnancy. She never really made him feel that he meant everything to her either, always arguesd with him, its like he could never please her, she wasn't perfect either, if she learned how to discuss things with him, instead of retaliating against him, it would of made situation better for her, I really can see both sides, but I don't really trust Baris either, something about him, I don't like, he was cruel to her in the beginning too, firing her because she was late, he is not going to be the right person for her, and there is something about him, that makes me wonder, I trust Mehte, before I trust him, at least he lets his anger show and reacts, Baris does not !

Baris showed emotions, for example, when she dropped the charges or when she became a lawyer of Mehdi but he listened to her and understood and agreed - Mehdi would not do that. If Baris do something like Mehdi in the future I wouldnt ship them too. I will prefer Zeynep to stay independet alone. The good things which Mehdi did destroid with this bad and I can´t be in his side. I don´t want to convince You what is the right oppinion - every person has their opinion and this one is mine that's all.

I don't know about you, but tyranny, bullying and kidnapping are not a healthy relationship.
