honestly i never knew the simplest way to alleviate the constant poke from fiora was to simply stack and shove wave to make sure we even the trade out with minions....

5:59 Fiora's Auto does 53 damage (Gnar HP: 272 to 219) 6:07 Fiora's Auto is back up, and Gnar has 48 HP (or maybe 52) Therefore, 6:06 "Fiora tries to bait Gnar Flash" should have worked, because Fiora could have killed with flash. I guess Gnar was thinking that Fiora was baiting, and Fiora was thinking that Gnar was flashing. Big mind games.

Zeus probably was confident enough that he could flash in the AA animation startup if Fiora decided to flash AA.

@@kkoromsp3674 don't AAs go through even if flashed away once the windup animation starts? I thought only breaking vision could stop a started AA from going through - hence the numerous fail clips of ppl dying from a melee AA after flashing

@@midknightcrisis8612 according to the wiki the basic attack wind up can be cancelled if the target is too far away, meaning that it's probably possible to cancel melee auto attacks. So not sure if it works with flash distance. That said, some animations continue uninterrupted even when flashed from my experience, like Singed fling or Voli fling.

she could flash auto when he was 36 hp and it would kill at 6:06 before last potion tick auto attack already back up. the auto attack CAN be flashed, though, it requires absolutely insane reaction and timing but they are on 9 ping and insane players so that is a possibility.

Really nice for understanding the matchups!

There’s so much nuance to trading patterns and even starter itemization I didn’t realize

The fact that the matchup is influenced by SIDE selection but only because of the enemy's passive and not junglers/objectives/etc is crazy

hey you forgot to mention the mechanic that zeus uses against fiora is when you have a bad vital spot, you can get out of range then reenter to spawn in better position for him like 3:40

Its crazy how he is maintaining this peak form in pro scene for this long… just sad he grieved in finals 😭

Honestly didnt know that about Fiora's passive always thought it was random I always learn something new watching u Also as Jax you should never Q into a fiora that has W it guarentees she lands It and you lose the trade and even die if you wasted E too like zeus did. You outscale her very hard after lvl 6 with sheen and especially after first item so flashy plays are unnecessary

6:11 Gnar flash reacts and Fiora loses 200 hp for nothing. Does Fiora think there is not enough time for Gnar to react Flash to Fiora's Flash Q?

2:55 "Fiora can Auto Jax knowing he will turn" Is the correct Jax mechanic then to fake-turn, and kind of hover between turning and autoing just outside tower range? The idea would be to match Fiora's auto if she herself turns for an auto.

maybe, but you would end in a loop. statcheking autos to death, which fiora will win anyway since she has minions and you could fuck up as jax (tower shot). Fiora would always have the last say I guess

@@nataoliveira2247 but she didn't have minions at that moment, and the turn mindgames are over anyway once an auto is traded, even if there was no tower involved; fiora wouldn't want to continue since Jax has AA advantage from his passive, and Jax wouldn't want to continue due to fiora q coming back up soon.

Yeah, that's a common strategy, but I think Jax was too close to the tower to pull it off. He shouldn't have chased Fiora that far to put himself in that situation..

stealth wards are visible for a duration and have a sound effect when placed, but this only applies when the enemy has vision of the area.

Zeus played pretty well on Jax vs Fiora, he had an expert read on the matchup that we can learn from. I wouldn't say he is gapped; however, he did lost micro. The matchup he played over his limits is the second game on Gnar against jiking Fiora!

It's solo kill. YSKM won first one, and Zeus won the second one. But Zeus used his smurf on second game 1v1.

Its a tough matchup early 4 jax +'thats the best lpl top. Khan, Marin, Zeus, Nuguri, Smeb and LORD MORGAN > lpl
