Zeus, Master of Olympus - The Serpent
Ойындар
🫘Continuing our adventure with the founding of Thebes in 1100BC and we are keen on mining up some marble. Nothing that will provoke any nasty Hydra, I'm sure!

I had a lot of very nice enthusiastic comments yesterday on this, thanks guys, that was very nice. So I'm gonna upload the first few episodes nice and quick so that people actually have stuff to watch in the case they found this interesting! Next one tomorrow! (Then FF6)

This is an amazing series, I'm hooked already!
the thing I always loved about WP LPs is that it's not just "i'm playing a new game and react" but it feels more like a presentation with experience and research put into it, even on first playthroughs, somehow.

Thanks, man! That's exactly how I want them to be.
Awesome to have a new WP let's play series! Been watching your vids since pre HoT, always a blast to listen to while gaming or doing laundry :)

Thanks for the enthusiastic comment!
I honestly really enjoy the visual aspect of these games, seeing buildings upgrade and the roads too is awesome.

The alpha for this game had really super amazing looking roads when they evolved (colourful marble)
loving the guy in that theatre that is spinning around on a rope for eternity

There is an AMAZING voice line about this where he is crying for them to stop the spinning.
The intro voice over was a lot less corny than I was expecting from a game of that time period lol. Early 2000s PC games were awesome

It's really cutesy and fun! Some of them go really off the wall too, I love the narrator. (There is a new Narrator for the final adventure)
While watching this I had a vague flashback of something that looked pretty much exactly like this but I was sure was Egypt themed, so after some googling I found Pharoh, watched some gameplay and all the memories came flooding back, so thank you WP for jogging some forgotten childhood memories ❤

No worries man! Pharoah was very popular.
OMG my childhood game. It's so hard to build the city but then it's super easy for everything to crumbles. So nostalgic. Pharaoh is even harder for me. Idk maybe it's because I was still a kid so everything feels super hard. My fave was Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom. Thanks for playing this WP.

No worries! Zeus aint too bad once you've got the fundamentals.
I love the Idea of Ares just playing hide and seek in giant temples. That's so funny to characterize the God of War as such a playful person.

He's a total jerk when he's your enemy I'll say that much.
Some missions revolving around fighting monsters reminds me of Majesty, just with much more focus on the actual city building.
love watching these episodes every day, currently

Thanks, man! The plan isn't ultimately to have these 100% daily but for the first while they will be very regular!
For anyone missing the guard Shaftocles reference, it's the movie character Shaft. The Samuel Jackson version came out in 2000 and had the "shut yo mouth" catch phrase.
Me watching this, while writing about Mazlow's theory for my Assignment... Oh god it's everywhere I can't escape.
I played these games and I’m loving the nostalgia! I keep rewatching the videos in this series because it’s such a cozy let’s play! 😁❤️

Hah a bit of a slight to the other ones but I'll take it
The game's 50% off on both steam and GoG if anyone is interested (as are the rest of impressions games games - that sounded weird),, apparently there's a widescreen/high res fan fix for this game. I love how that intro cinematic has absolutely nothing to do with the game. 20:50 Happens on the civ subreddit too, a lot of it is screenshots of their civ, although a lot of it back then were "look how incredibly optimized this petra is look at all the yields!!", or one of the other wonders that buff specific tile yields.

I sort of came to dislike my comment here by the end, because when I got suuuper into the game I suddenly found the subreddit images the best things ever! Hah.
Cool to see game from my childhood :)

I find I watch more LPs on old nostalgia stuff than anything else now, hah. Probably not a good sign in terms of expanding my horizons.
Two days in a row ❤ I don’t really have anything to say so I am just leaving it here for the juicy viewer interaction 😂 game is fun to watch with your commentary tho

Thanks man! I'd love to read any idle thoughts you have about the actual game as well of course
Please I can only be spoilt with WP videos every so often! This is opulence!

That's very kind! Generally I'll upload these a little more paced out
Because you did not (arbitrary thing here), I, MagicalMike of KZread, do not regard you as highly as I did before. I gotta find an excuse to use that somewhere.
