About your two questions at the beginning, yes, those walkers without a set destination walk randomly at intersections. This is why it is better to avoid intersections as much as possible, especially in your housing areas, unless you like wildly fluctuating populations. You already use roadblocks nicely (Something which the original Caesar III didn't have, by the way, making it more challenging to stabilize your cities. They added those in Pharaoh.). You were right about your assumption that production stops when the delivery guy hasn't returned to his building. This is because the production building has a storage space of 1, which needs to be emptied before production starts over. Here, one or sometimes more close storage yards / granaries will help so that the deliverymen can return as soon as possible.

Also worth mentioning that walkers set to 'getting' for a warehouse tend to ignore roads and will take the most direct route.

I spent so much time playing this game back in 2003. Watching WP plays it brings back so many memories. 😀

From my observations of the game: you probably have way too many hunters lodges on most maps with them only 2 or 3 can hunt all the time if i build more they run out of prey to hunt. (But this mission has high numbers of prey so maybe it can support few more) And since the hunters dont care about roads and move fast it is probably better to build the lodge next to residental area so the meat isnt transported far once it is made by the building. (And they do produce suprisingly high number of food) Also from my observations: houses dont need that much of fleece and oil they consume it quite slowly so in this mission it is probably best to buy as much as (including marbel for construction) you can before the kraken spawns and then use the stored supply until the kraken is killed. Building athena first is probably better so you can make your own oil and dont have to buy it. At that point you can probably survive only on beging the parent city for fleece every now and then (no pier needed at all). One 100% good advice for this mission is alwayes rebuild the far away fisher as a bait when you want to import something because the kraken will go to break it giving you bonus time before he breaks the pier. PS: the guild wars area of the same name makes me want to say something like "watch out for the grawl Ulodytes" luckily it is only one kraken here that dont have brutal heal skill so it is fine.

@@WoodenPotatoes Only point of more hunting lodges that respawn rate of the pigs they hunt is it lower unemplomed (but i do prefer to use artisan workshops for that) (and maybe it could have some little benefit in geting lots of food at start) I could be wrong but at most maps building 3/4 or more lodges result in multiple having description something like lodge hunters would like to hunt but there isnt any prey they can reach. Store room full of fleece and oil per housing block does last good amount of time when you dont have to resupply (as happens all over the game when poseidon sabotage sea trade or cities stop trading because hermes stolen their caravans or something (i do really like that variation of text telling you when somebody stop trading (is that in the adventure where you play as spart? At least i remember it being there))) And when you have no money but want have top housing block only need import 1-2 of each per trader visit (that helps me balance the money spend especilaily on oil since it cost a lot of coins 1 oil= almost 5 wheat) It is only what i learned while playing (right now i am doing hercules on olympian) so you probably have more precise number. (I do wonder how many houseis can be supported by yearly import of 12 fleece? My discovered number was something like 2-3 blocks with 21 housies in each) Sorry if i miss interpereted your coment i am responding to as ironic "yeah you dont really need anything" responce.

At 01:16:30, any building that spawns walkers has a preferred spawn point if it has access to multiple road tiles. The gym you built for your first housing block has access to tiles of two roads and it spawns the buff dudes onto the road to the north, that is, not the road you want them to spawn on to reach all the houses in that block. Either remove the north road tiles or move the gym to a spot where it is forced to spawn its walkers onto the main road.

I'd like to see a playthru of the Pharaoh remake, but it has a lot of missions and the monuments take a long time to build The actual Great Pyramid of Giza was built around 2600 BCE and took 27 years to build

So remind me again WP, this series does not turn you into a city sim, Settlers and Anno Let's Player - this playthrough is just for nostalgia reasons? Because I'd love to see you do Anno 1800 LP.

I've never played it I'm afraid! I have a bunch of LPs this year and currently this is the only city builder. We'll see how the views do though!
