Most underrated show that no one has heard of. When I told all of my film enthusiast friends, none of them had heard of the show. This show is flying under the radar rn, but easily the best show of 2020 and one of the best shows I've ever seen. Amazing.

Yeah, same with hulu. I had never heard of Reprisal until I saw a preview for it watching another hulu show. It's probably hulu's best original but no one has ever heard of it.

Underrated, under-watched, under-reported/reviewed... amazing series. Cannot stress enough. You won't be disappointed.

Just Love how they blend 3 different stories in great way. Ending was🔥

A masterclass in cinema. This show of 8 episodes takes you all around the world, while intertwining three different stories into one. What impressed me the most was the cinematography. Each location is beautifully shot, but also very real. The story gets very violent at times, but that doesn't take away from the complex depth they're trying to tell in 8 very entertaining episodes. Fans will want a season 2, but left alone this diamond needs no buffering. Watch it.

I would say The Sopranos, but the American Mafia is very different from Italy: Sicilian Cosa Nostra, Calabrese 'Ndrangheta Mafia, Napolitan Camorra Mafia, Apulian Sacra Corona Unita Mafia. Very different beasts to the 5 Families of NYC Cosa Nostra Commission. Check out Gomorrah. It's about the Napolitan Camorra Mafia in Naples/Napoli Italy.

I liked the finance part..lawyers, offshore secrets, bankers, the behind the scenes stuff that we never get to see

This is a masterpiece that may sadly slip through the cracks of worthy recognition into the abyss of human oblivion

This series is a visual treat. I really liked the style of storytelling which is good enough to keep you intrigued throughout. The best series of 2020 so far not even a single dull moment in the series. 10/10 I highly recommend

Is it available in India?

All I can say is WOW - as a self appointed The Wire aficionado that series only covers the Northeast corridor of the US primarily Baltimore. This masterpiece actually captures the underworld on an even broader scale - international thievery, bribery, drug trafficking and of course murder etc. The cinematography is next level - kudos to the production team.

Someone please appreciate the background score in this series. Just sooo effin good.

@Billy Cain Am a girl 😊 Yes I did the actors all did a fantastic job but the story line was messed up however it had a more real feel to it compared to Money Heist. It's a one time watch. The story keeps moving from Don Minu to the brother/sister to the Mexican dude it can be confusing but one time watch is okay.

If anybody has not seen this yet I highly recommend it. It’s just as good as narcos but even darker. The way it’s made it’s different it’s very good series.

Bravo on this series Amazon!! This was incredible! Storytelling, background music, super raw audio, brilliant tension building.. cast and everything was very well pieced together.

I don't know why this show isn't at the top of everybody's list. Amazing.

This might be the greatest TV series ever! From the plot twists to the charismatic acting to the visual graphics. The story telling goes deeper then the ocean. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆

This show deserves more recognition!! This is one of the best shows out there! The storyline is just fire

Finished it yesterday. By far a really great show! Would I watch it again? Maybe certain episodes/scenes. I was very confused at first with how the trafficking actually worked but then caught on after halfway into the season. The ending is what really made this show a game changer. I’ve never seen anything so intense and relievable in a tv show before. Definitely give it a watch as you can finish it in a day if you got the time to spare.

There is nothing that comes close to this show. It is by far the best to come this year. Slightly menacing characters who make the experience even more worthwhile.One should not miss it.

I loved this show and the fact that the action switched between Mexico, Italy, Senegal and the USA and that the dialogue was in Spanish, Italian, French and English accordingly. Less sensationalist than Narcos, and all the more believable for it. Plus, having lived in both Italy and Senegal and now living in Mexico, I thought their depictions I’d the local cultures were spot on. 👍🏼

This trailer with a predominance of stock dialogue that you come to expect from a narco story really undersells how intimate and visceral the show dives into each of the three narrative worlds. This show is absolutely bravura filmmaking.

It's beautiful to see an italian fellow being so recognized internationally. Unfortunately, in his own country many don't recognize Saviano's work as well. For all foreigners reading this: did you know that, because he says racism is bad, and spreading it in politics is criminal, a good part of the public hates him?

Andrea Pregnolato he is amazing at what he does but you have to put yourself in the shoes of the people you are talking about the Italians don’t like him because he says racism is bad but if you’re a regular Italian you see services,jobs and help from the government at an unbelievable low while at the same time massive amounts of money and resources goto refugees they are angry as they should be.

Let's divide the two things: one is to be angry because of unemployment, bad services, corruption, bad politics, which is right (I am too); other thing is to channel that anger against not the accountable of the disaster, but against people that have nothing to do with that. Saviano started to be demonized exactly when he started to criticize the leader of the far right, who is objectively using racism to get elected. Are there problems in managing migration? Of course. That's why we should face the problem logically and act this way. Legitimizing certain things that many people say, like "fucking ne**oes! They should die in the sea! They are all rapists and killers", giving them fake news to further radicalize those feelings, not only doesn't solve the problem. It creates many more.

Jack Kuncze The reason why Salvini has so many votes (he hasn't been elected. Italian elections elect the parliament, not the government. Vote decides representatives in parliament and then parties make the government through agreements) goes deeper in italian history. Unfortunately, because of bad politicians which in the last 30-40 years ruined school systems, we italians are among the less informed and scholarized people in the developed world (there are studies proving this). Because of this, Italy is a country where public perception counts the most on reality. Some examples, many think immigrants are 30% of population, muslims 20% and unemployment almost 50%. It's not. Real numbers are 8%, 2%, 10% (youth unemployment is over 30%). With a public so culturally defenceless, it's easy to fool it. And that's what happened. It wasn't Salvini that started everything. It's something that goes on by decades, but Salvini pushed it to the limit. He even posted a fake new which claimed that the center-left party, PD, wanted to drug italians with oxitocyn to make them like immigrants and vote the party. Which is clearly bogus! Do you know what Salvini did on migration after becoming minister of interior? He took merits for the agreements the previous government (PD) made with Libya to stop refugees, which resulted in a deep fall of arrivals (more than 85-90% less), and he pratically closed the centers where the people were received and he threw them in the streets, including children. He didn't solve migration, he just acted to show his voters he was giving the "bad immigrants" what they deserved. Same thing for the boats left in the middle of the sea for days and days. No results, but to show the worst side of many. And yet, Salvini didn't turn only against migrants. During his meetings with the public, he used police against whoever tried to show his dissent for him. I don't talk about violent protesters with sticks and stones. I talk about people with banners. Once this happened: a guy with a banner with the evangelical quote "love your neighbor" was beaten during a meeting by Salvini's supporters. He saw it, and commented: "he's a communist!" Sorry if I got so long, but it's important to know what kind of guy we're a dealing with. How we should face the problem? First of all keep going with the politics of agreements, which Salvini completely neglected, in order to stop migrations from the origin places. Second: open a humanitarian line to control and be sure that only those who need protection (refugees and alikes) can land in Europe. Improve the migration burocracy. Today we need more than year to see if an immigrant is a refugee or not. Third: try to integrate these people in the community in order to make them productive (to do this there's an other whole work to do to make the economy grow back again, to have jobs for everybody, italians and not). Obviously, this is just a simplification, and years are needed to accomplish these targets. But that's the only right and useful solution.

Great show. Fantastic direction, cinematography and acting for the three interweaved story lines of Mexico Cartel, the US Middlemen and the Italian customers, all vying for control and battling competing forces. The storytelling structure by which they "flashed back" to tell multiple protaganist stories as they left and rejoined the main storyline in more or less real time was cool too. It was used really well to show what was going on between Dale DeHaan's and Andrea Riseborough's characters especially when they were apart.

Amazing show! Loved how they collaborated foreign language, how they included different scenarios from around the world, and how they show the inside of drug trafficking! Very intriguing show!

Probably one of the best series i've watched on Amazon and it came out in 2020! Wish I knew about it when it first came out.

@@ashleysherwood9777 it showed a good bit lol. The first time I saw the trailer was like a 10-15 sec spot trailer before a show on Amazon. That was perfect and I wanted to see it immediately. After I saw the series, I watched this full trailer, and, in my opinion, wasn't really necessary to show that much to spark interest in the show.

But in the last decade it's the Mocro Mafia (Moroccan Mafia) in the Netherlands and Belgium who became the biggest suppliers of cocaine in all of Europe. For example, this series showed a shipment of 5 tonnes which used to be considered as large scale shipments in real life, but nowadays these type of shipments arrive daily in the ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam. 3 weeks ago they busted a shipment of 27 tonnes in the port of Antwerp which was suppose to be distributed by the Moroccan mafia, and this bust is only a fraction of what goes through customs control on a daily scale.

This was the best show I've ever seen. Harold Torres' performance was outstanding he's one of the best "bad guys" of all time.
