I love how you say Hanbin fits the PR position cause he’s actually the leader and an MC. He’s been MC-ing in a lot of major shows and even has a fixed MC job in Mcountdown (a music show). Music show MCs are usually the “face” of the show so it’s absolutely correct to say that he’s the perfect person to represent the group as well as brands☺️

This is spot on about Jiwoong. He is kind even when teasing others. He never says anything that could come off as hurtful. But also he is very funny and has a 4d type personality you don’t really see in this video.

7:28 the way you immediately clocked Taerae as a T is so funny

Even after a year. Jiwoong still has that personality. Maybe bca he's the oldest so his teasing is just a light jokes, but he still cheered for them. He's so positive and the way he joked aslo never out from the boundaries. He knew the personality of the members so he was really careful in saying his thoughts

Jiwoong is an extrovert but most of the time, he's quieter than the ones who are introverted

I had seen him in dramas before and watched a behind the scenes of one of them, so I had this image of him from the beginning as a pretty serious, very sincere person. He's got a sweet smile and can be very playful, but overall I think he's solid and reliable. I really appreciate him and his role in the group. I didn't know his performing history right away... The man has been through a lot. I'm glad he gets to make sure some of the others have better experiences. You can see it in the way he looks at Yujin and Gunwook 💙

Remember all his giant hugs in the final episode of BP? He pretty much tackled everyone as they came up. At the time I felt like I didn't know him well - but he won my heart with how openly joyful and loving he was 💙

goofy guy at 6:13 is matthew who is canadian! he loves being the center of attention by doing/saying really outlandish things and is famous for not having any media training (fandom joke) where he often blurts out expletives and other nsf-camera things haha he's very likeable in general, always smiling and exceedingly positive and sweet to his members and fans alike

JiWoong is the oldest of the group and the members always talk about how nice and kind he is to them. You are right, he is rather one to give complements than tease. If a member were to say they were hungry, Jiwoong would not hesitate to order or get them food no matter what time it is. He's always caring and thinking about the members, willing to support them at any time. He definitely takes a more background role in the group, which doesn't mean he's not important, if HanBin (the leader of the group, sitting in the middle) is the mother of the group, Jiwoong is definitely the dad.

i also wanna add how amazing it was to see their relationship development for the past couple of months esp Ricky’s growth (the guy with blond hair) since he’s one of the foreign members and his korean needed to improve for him to be able to fully express his thoughts and show his true personality because when you look at all the recent videos all the members say that the one person that changed the most is Ricky, they often mention that he had this confident sexy persona going on before and now he’s so funny and cute also in front of the camera and I couldn’t be happier🥺❤️ (it’s also worth mentioning that the member he’s the closest with is gyuvin which is such an interesting combo that ultimately works so well✨)

I agree - I've also loved getting to see more sides of Ricky! Watching him in the video where he and Matthew got roasted by kids was delightful - he's comfortable in English and it turns out that he's really good with kids 😊

So, for the longest time Hao, (the tie with the black jacket) was the only introvert in the group. He's what you would call a loud introvert. The reason why he seems so performative, like a leader, could be because he is the center of the group. Next to him, Hanbin, (tie and white shirt) is the leader. He's been known for his proper and PR-like personality since Boys Planet. Over time, Yujin, whose voice projection you commented on, switched from Extroverted to Introverted. At the time of this interview, Ricky's (white hair) MBTI hadn't been known yet, but he was later revealed as an introvert as well! Thank you so much for reacting to Zerobaseone!

everything is right except MBTI isn't based on social introversion or extroversion, it's actually based on our cognitive functions, the 16personalities test idols take mistypes most idols and isn't a reliable test for typing someone. though some quiet idols may get IXXX on the 16p test or more talkative outgoing idols may get EXXX, MBTI isn't based on that. and you can't just get a new MBTI, or go from IXXX to EXXX two months later.

​@@anctrlMBTI is not particularly scientific - it has failed to be validated many many times. Best not to correct people on whether they're using it well. Before you get defensive: it's pseudoscience. There's a lot of evidence. If it was legit, I'd be fine with it, but it's not.

@@anctrl Oh, I know, however I was only just focused on the I & E aspect of it. Yujin has taken the test multiple times and received many different results. And like you said, 16personalities may not be the best indicator of MBTI. He received E until after boys planet. Then he started testing I (with the exception of him getting E once.) While he considered himself extroverted, a lot of the boys planet trainees tend to describe him as introverted.

Love this video! Just to let you know, Hanbin, the one on the white shirt that seems very PR like is the leader! Zerobaseone came from a survival show so that probably explains why their personalities are drastically different! Hanbin was always perceived as the perfect one! Hao, the other leader like guy, is pretty mature and has a stricter vibe as he’s one of the oldest. Jiwoong is the oldest and has a cool personality but is silly as well. Matthew, blond hair guy, is very unfiltered and silly. That’s probably due to the fact that he’s Canadian. Taerae, guy in denim, is very silly but because this interview was when they were just formed, he was a little more timid. Ricky, blond hair and black jacket, also has a cool personality but likes to joke a lot. Gyuvin, affectionate guy, loves a lot and loves being goofy. Gunwook, guy that seemed loved by the members a lot, has an intimidating aura at first but is very mature and responsible for his young age. Lastly, Yujin, the shyest, is the maknae (youngest) and is very timid in interviews but loves playing with his older members! That’s a quick guide to the members. I hope you react to more videos of Zerobaseone!

Hanbin is such a sunshine of the group and is the leader..he cares for his members so much❤and he comes up and speaks for the group in many events

Gyuvin is indeed the affectionate mischievous brother, he loves mangoes and his members so much

everything you said is so SPOT ON omg the interview is from their debut days but you were able to notice things that most of the fandom only realized now, like how jiwoong said recently how he feels the age gap when the younger members are joking around and you said something similar in 10:12

I love this, ZB1 are one of my ult groups!!

if you didn't already know ZEROBASEONE is a group formed from a survival program called Boys Planet where 98 trainees from different companies compete to debut in the final group. the 9 trainees with the most votes get to debut and the trainee who ranked 1st at the end of the show is the center. 5:12 that's yujin and he's the youngest! he is very shy and introverted most times but he's a goofy kid when he gets comfortable. also the guy he's looking at on his left is zhang hao, he's the center and he's known him for longer than the other members (since they are under the same company) so he's comfortable with him. fans joke zhang hao is his mom lol 7:26 wow you were kinda spot on with taerae! he will give it to you straight and leans towards logic (his mbti is ESTJ) 10:47 you're right, jiwoong is a very considerate person. he's the eldest and although he can be childish (not immature but rather in a young sense) he often thinks a lot about his younger members. in a recent video they said jiwoong tries to be up to date on what games the younger members play cuz he wants to spend time with them too 😂

3:51 it's so interesting how you perfectly guessed that Hanbin (the one infront with a white shirt) was the leader by the way he expressed himself

the two guys with the ties are a very famous duo! the one who’s wearing white is hanbin and he’s the leader and the other one is zhang hao and he’s the center of the group! you should check them out separately their chemistry is out of this world

the guy in the middle is actually the one who considered as the only Introvert in the group. but he's not shy, not quiet, he's VERY confident persona of himself, center of the group. and the guy next to him in white is the leader of the group

5:36 Just before the time stamp Yujin was looking at Hao (tie, black jacket) as Yujin is the baby and Hao was the oldest from his company so he’s known him for a long time. Where it says around here about Hao being the only introvert, that was at the time of the video. There have been tests done since and Yujin and Ricky (the blond with the chain around his neck) are now also documented as being introverts.

I'm always amazed on how much you can point out about a person even from one interview in a different language. You were spot on about Hanbin being like the perfect PR person because that's who he is. He has such a kind voice and does speak very politely. ZB1 as a group is sometime joked as having "Zero Media Training" because many members have a tendency to say or do whatever comes to mind, and you can sometimes see Hanbin panicking trying to keep everyone in line. I don't know if you know this, but this is a group that was formed on a Survival Show, where they had 98 guys come together and compete for 9 spots in this group. So a lot of these guys came from different companies, different training backgrounds, some met prior to the show, some met on the show but they ultimately learned to get a long real well.

Thank you for reacting to ZB1! This was one of the very first interviews they had as a group and it's also the kind (i.e. sit down) that doesn't show their dynamics as much as others... I would recommend watching some newer stuff (e.g. Spotify ON! Spotlight Interview, Idol Human Theatre, any of their original content on their channel, etc.) or for other earlier stuff that shows more of their dynamics early on - e.g. K-star Next Door, the earlier Idol Human Theatre and original content (ZB1 Folder, ZBTV) ... they are a very fun group who enjoy each other's company (actually, they very much adore each other imo) and are overall quite touchy feely. Also, they do have two Chinese members (Hao & Ricky) and a Korean Canadian (Matthew) so, especially in the beginning, language was definitely sometimes a struggle in terms of conveying their personalities and humour - e.g. if you watch Smarty Pants with Ricky & Matthew where they speak English, there's definitely a difference.

tysm for checking out zb1!! they're such a fun and talented group and probably the most chaotic out of recent kpop acts that ive seen 😭😭 watching their 2 zb1_folder mbti videos are probably a perfect way to get to know them, so i highly recommend those!! they try to figure out ricky's (the more quiet blonde guy) mbti by answering questions about how they'd act in different scenarios and it essentially turns into a debate 😭 even as a fan, after watching just those 2 videos i felt like i got to know them on a completely different level, so again highly recommend!!

I thought jiwoong was the leader he kinda have that respect from members so i thought that

Gyuvin is a HUGE fan of San from ATEEZ. And a massive Atiny in general. He did a show with San on KODE where they text each other and try to guess who each other is. It’s super fun!!! I hope you’d look into it and analyze their playfulness and interactions before and after knowing who each other is.

Kim Jiwoong is so soft spoken and quiet, it's sometimes hard to believe he's an extrovert. He has his loud moments however when the group is together he hardly tries to draw attention to himself. As the oldest, he does say he has a hard time connecting to the younger members, the age difference between him and the youngest is almost 10 years and the 2nd oldest member is 3 years younger than him. He really takes up the role of the parent in the group, however he does get playful at times to bond with the members and it is so funny. The members also always tease him...like constantly...sometimes i feel bad for him because he's terrible at comebacks and can't really fight back but i feel like the members know when to stop.

Would love to see more reactions, especially to their variety content! They’ve gotten much closer since debut and have easily become my favourite group when it comes to witnessing the members’ bonds and relationships

Matthew is in fact the goofy Canada Chicken Oppa who always makes everyone laugh whether it's the members or with other people

zb1 omggg I love them since they were formed by joining a survival program they all have very distinct charms and personalities but they still work so well together
