Start small, buy 3 plastic pots place a layer of cardboard, then your kitchen vegetable and fruit scraps, tea leaves, hair, dust, no cooked food. Then some leaves, grass or weeds, then repeat, after a few weeks tip into a different pot, start the process in pot 2, by tipping into each pot you will by spring should have compost, then plant one or 6 silverbeet/spinach depending on pot size, one plant per 12 inches/30cm of square space. Second pot plant lettuce. Third pot plant one tomato plant which if you use one slice of tomato, dried on a paper towel, you should get 1 to 6 tomato seedlings.

I'm so grateful you did this. I've admired your garden for so long but struggled to see everything you had done in the 'shorts'. I've converted my whole back and front garden this year for growing and am desperate for ideas on vertical gardening. I grow for myself and my husband but want to grow as much as I can to help my family and neighbours as well. I've added an extra 14 raised beds made from old pallet collars this year! I would love to know how you constructed your netted covers on your raised beds. I have a polytunnel where I grow all things prone to butterfly/caterpillar attack but would like to be able to protect some of my other beds.... I like to use all recycled materials if possible. I wish you could come visit me and show me what to do 🤣 being disabled I have all these plans but my body has other ideas 🤣
