Facts, Suzaku might not have done much but my boi Lelouch still fought Bradley*, Gino and Anya all by himself. Only 2 other people have fought multiple rounds and lived, Suzaku and Kallen.

Lelouch manage to live thanks to Shinkirou's defensive capabilities* with any other knightmare he probably would be dead. But not much people could use Shinkirou that well thou

@@abdullahk0405 *no one else I mean Name me one other person that can defend and minimise energy usage on shinkirou by deploying it's shields with pin point precision combined with flight capabilities to actually make it viable in combat? Altho what it can only do is fire 2 cannons and have an impenetrable shield? Arguably only lelouch + C.C/ lelouch alone can actually pull that off (like calculations mid flight battle plans shot calling etc etc)

I love how Kallen’s arrival changed the game and everyone in the Black Knights was happy and motivated. She really is the best pilot in the series, no matter how many versions of her Knightmare will be made. 💙👏🏻

Kallen has her mech backing her up. Suzaku is the best pilot, if Suzaku had the Knightmare frame to back him up he'd just be unstoppable, Hence why the Albion is weaker in terms of specs lol.

Well, he did fight Suzaku in the last battle with Schneizel, and it took two hits to bring him down, which distracted Suzaku long enough so that the Black Knights could get inside the Avalon. So yeah, Tamaki did become a bit more useful lol

Kallen has the better Specs for her Knightmare Frame, but Suzaku had better skill so it evened out, which was why it was a draw in their last fight. Also Suzaku wasn’t trying to kill Kallen I believe, the plan for Zero Requiem was for him to “die” so he could be reborn as Zero. What better way to die in battle than with the only person that was ever a match for him in a Mech Battle?

Give props to Lelouch to actually surviving against four Knights of Rounds.

Watching Kallen kill the Vampire of Britania was so satisfying. Most characters have some redeeming qualities but, he's basically a serial killer shitposter.

Lelouch may not be the best pilot, but it kinda says something when he manages to hold out against 4 of the Knights of Rounds. Most have difficulty just fighting one, but Lelouch being able to stay alive for that long is quite commendable.

That's because the Shinkiro was made with Lelouch's preferences and skill in mind. In R1 he sucked as a Gawain pilot, because the Gawain is a direct-combat-focused Knightmare. Shinkiro, on the other hand, while weaker in terms of offense, has a really good defense thanks to the Absolute Defense System, is faster and can even transform into a jet/submarine when really needed. Because Shinkiro was made with command/support purposes in mind, Lelouch was the perfect fit for it despite his mediocre piloting skills, where as in R1, he was not a good fit for the Gawain.

On the radar I can see Gino swooping around to stand in Suzaku’s way to prevent him from following Anya and Lelouch. Kinda adds to his words.

Seriously why do you keep leaving Ohgi in charge of anything, the guy freezes in so many clutch moments it's ridiculous, not to mention he has near-zero tactical ability to speak of and is very likely one (of several) reasons his Japanese resistance cell was bottom of the barrel before Zero found them despite having an ace pilot like Kallen on the team.

There is no use of having an ace pilot if there wasn't any Knightmare to use except that Glasgow which was not only outdated but also malfunctioning. Other than that, I agree with you. Ohgi is not a good leader. He is neither intelligent nor morally strong. He appears good only because he hangs out with Tamaki who is an absolute moron.

Ohgi is just an idiot. Taking care of villeta and a traitor to lelouch. He gives up the command of black knights to schinezel. He didn't even think all of the things lelouch did to them. Ohgi is the reason why so many blacknights died in lelouch vs schinezel battle. That man have no brain.

Wait what are you talking about? Gurren is the one with the superior specs. In the final battle, Kallen herself admits that the Gurren is superior to the Lancelot and that's why she's in awe wondering how is it that he's keeping up with her despite having a superior weapon.

Suzaku is my favorite pilot on the show, but damn if it isn't a close finish between him and Kallen. The Guren SEITEN is beautiful. Kind of wish they had a model I could build. I think the design of it is slightly better than the Lancelot Albion.

in the last battle, suzaku was not defeated, in fact, kallen was successfully lured according with zero requim but without that plot kallen will lose but not in an easy way.. they really had to let kallen win coz suzaku will replace lelouch as ZERO

You gotta give him props for successfully delaying Suzaku at the battle of Mt. Fuji so that Xing-Ke would get inside the Avalon. Seriously, it took him 2 hits to go down instead of the usual one hit. And besides, he was fighting the second strongest Knightmare in the series, Lancelot Albion is no pushover.

I think we underrate how much Kallen owns the asses of the knights of rounds in this series

It was interesting seeing what the sub expressed. Kallen's "goodbye" was much more fitting than the dub's "send a postcard". Also, the Prince's explanation as to why Charles wasn't going to visit Area 11... I'd say it's equivalent to the dub's "mundane affairs" explanation. Overall: I think dub wins for this anime series.

***** Me and hundreds of other fans of this anime would disagree. This is one anime that is actually better dubbed. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is also better dubbed. But Naruto, maybe Death Note, Bleach, Ghost in the Shell, Blazblue Alter Memory and a few others are much better subbed.

+Victor Vanderlinde This is where you are wrong. The laugh of the original Japanese voice actor does not hold a candle to the one delivered by Johnny Yong Bosch. In the original Japanese version, the voice actor did deliver a decent laugh, but overall it was rather bland and lacked substance. However, the first time I listened to the english rendition of that laugh, I had chills running down my spine. That laugh was haunting and purely terrifying, that truly conveyed the idea that Lelouch was descending down a path similar to Kira's from Death Note. I have to agree with Shawn Sean, that Code Geass is one of the best english dubs ever released, and only has a few moments in which either the writing or the voice actors are cringeworthy.

Fair enough, but I'm just saying that the english voice actor's portrayal of Lelouch was far greater than the original portrayal. To me at least, it seems as though more effort was put in to make the character more pseudo-evil.

Depending on your definition of powerful, that can be either true or false. In terms of plotting, Lelouch is better, but physically, Kallen would mop the floor with him, especially considering Lelouch is one of the weakest characters in the show, physically. And in terms of Knightmare piloting skills, depends. Lelouch's Knightmare is a perfect fit for his command role, is fast, and has very good defense, but Kallen's Guren SEITEN is also rather resillient, and can easily destroy Knightmares below the 9th Generation, not to mention she's the better pilot in general.
