I seen in an interview where jamie himself basically confirms what I always thought went wrong, he wasn't going fast enough for the height of the drop. You can see it in the video he just kind of plummets to the bottom, but honestly I cannot see anyone barreling at this with a ton of speed. There is not safety net here like with steps, you can't bail out and run down the steps, and once you ollie there is no ground below you at all. That's why it's a leap of faith and this attempt cannot be classed with any other type of gap.

Anyone saying "Jaws could have done this." How about you step down and show some respect for a fucking second. This is 1997 when people were getting enders in video parts with tricks down 9 stairs.... This dude jumped off a fucking two story building and stuck it. The engineering for skateboards were not as good as they are now for one, Jamie was not as small as Jaws, and who cares if he did it today. I don't think Jaws would be a legend killer like how he killed Bouala's attempt at the 25... or is he?

They destroyed the leap of faith long ago. I live in San Diego and have been there in person .It's the real deal. That was a great school to skate too.

I still can't tell what's more, the number of stairs he attempted or the number of times I rewinded the clip
