R.I.P. Class Zero. Maybe you never became the prophetized Agito, but you were able to do something no one else before you did. If I hadn't been spoiled on the ending of this game a long time ago before I ever played it....Their death would have been a huge shock for me. Still, didn't make it any less painful or depressing to watch. It's odd how this whole game was centered around death and destruction and the horrors of war, yet it was a Final Fantasy game and the main character(s) usually never die....And yet....In the end, all of Class Zero are dead, while not technically dead. It went where most FF games didn't dare to go and introduced you to a bunch of entertaining and likable people, who only end up sacrificing themselves in the end with no true happy ending.

I love this song and cry every time I listen to it rest in peace class zero also all of the cadets that lost their lives and kurasame

I wish there had been an English dub playing in the game. At least there were English lyrics playing during the credits, but it ran the risk of taking focus away from the scene with Machina and Rem, and I had trouble matching them up with the tune when following along. I would have loved if, if not a professional singer, Ace's English VA sang the whole song in the dub.

There actually is a secret ending that, without going into spoilers (even though I already know the background of it despite only playing one playthrough), has everything be alright. Involves a new cycle, I'll say that much.

From what I could tell, yes! While I was playing the game, Ace sings the first few lines at some point, so I'm assuming the rest of the lyrics are also official. :)

This plays too fast. Do .75 speed. It otherwise sounds like a saloon song.
