Zephaniah 1-3; Haggai 1-2 - The Bible from 30,000 Feet - Skip Heitzig - Flight ZHA01
The prophet Zephaniah addressed the social injustice and moral decay of Judah and her neighbors, proclaiming the coming day of the Lord and His wrath upon the nations-both an immediate judgment and a future end-times judgment. God sent Haggai the prophet to preach to the restored community of Jews in Jerusalem after their return from exile in Babylonia. Haggai encouraged the nation to set aside their selfishness and finish rebuilding the temple, an act of obedience that would align their desire with God's desire.

The LORD has been judging me hard because I'm very stubborn like Jonah worshipping my own comfort.

Try giving financially if you're able, more than you're typically comfortable with to some organization or church involved in evangelism. It's a start towards denying yourself more.
I loved the song!!!! You guys were a great team!!

For those looking for the record history, I found a recently published free collection, that might be useful as a study aid. I'd compare it to other bibles - such as the Annotated Bible from this study: Lord Henfield "The Grand Bible" (and any other accompanying texts). They also have a beautiful green Qur'an, as well as other texts about Muslim culture, but I'm not sure what form of Islam they were studying. (These are also very recent texts. 2021)
It's a reference to Isaiah 6:5-7 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. 6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: 7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
Haggai - 42:38
If Zephaniah is for towards the last days as well as the exile to Babylon. Is what's happening in Israel now - the evil slaughter by Hamas of Israelis. Could it be that Gaza is destroyed in the place of the Philistine land? They are in approximately the same area.
Pastor Skip May God bless you for your most insightful teaching. What version of the Bible do you read from? I need to acquire a copy. Thank you.
